IGN - Eight is a lot of years. Xbox 360's enormous lifespan is coming to a close, and while it's sure to see numerous releases through 2014, the advent of Xbox One brings a sense of finality to 2013.
That's why, for the first time, IGN's Top 25 Xbox 360 Games list includes retail and digital games. Xbox Live Arcade played a massive part in the platform, after all, and paved the way for the mighty, smaller game on consoles.
Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC on the 14th of April 2015. That means the game will be nine years old in four days, and it’s still among the most-played titles on Steam. With a 24-hour peak of 145K players, it’s as popular as Baldur’s Gate 3, Apex: Legends, and Destiny 2.
The freedom to explore large areas, approach objectives in multiple ways, and stumble across amusing distractions will always be an excellent format for video games, but some do it better than others. To celebrate the formula and parse the best from the best, have a look at the best open-world games of all time so far.
Jack writes: "Yet again browsing the latest offers in the Steam Spring Sale has led us to track down the very best. In terms of price to quality, we don’t think that it gets much better than this. Portal 2 is now less than a dollar, and if you haven’t got it already, now is the time to pick it up."
Portal deserves to be one of steams highest rated games... It's almost tetris levels of perfect game design.
Gotta love Steam. Just got Portal 2 for .97 cents CAD. Should have been $1.29, selected the bundle with Portal 1 and 2, which gets a 25% discount, already have Portal 1, so it removes the cost of that, and still applies the full 25% bundle discount to Portal 2. 90% + 25% discount.
not taking ANYTHING from the 360...but shouldnt they list exclusive games only?
to say top 25 xb360 games and most of them are multiplat isnt really accurate...imo at least
Limbo and Mirror's Edge better than RDR? A few strange decisions here for me
Top 5 for me:
5 shadow complex
4 gears 3
3 vanquish
2 Skyrim
1 GTA5
Very happy Alan Wake is there. Genius game. Why no Gears 2 or ME 2 though?
Where are the console exclusives like Left4Dead, Fable, Crackdown, Metro2033, Trials etc? Kinda odd they'd include the brand new multiplatform SplinterCellBlacklist over the exclusive SplinterCell Conviction. I mean, Mirrors Edge and Limbo over all of those? IGN's never been good at lists.
