because that was developed an a pc and then ported to console?

ATi_Elite3870d ago

Because the PC version was the one being shown in all the commercials and Game shows.

GTA started on the PC, has ALWAYS had a PC release, and like normal GTAV PC will be released 8 months after console version.

VonBraunschweigg3870d ago

GTA started on PC topdown, got big on consoles going 3D, and is now focussed on consoles because it sells on console. Most consoleplayers bought the games, most PC players downloaded them illegally. Profit on PC only got smaller everytime, on consoles they make more everytime. Could be important for R*

Totoro173870d ago

Like current systems can dish out those graphics. I can't wait for my PC to run this bad boy on full steam!

Angels37853871d ago

Every game has pc assets anx folders for pc in the games config file. They are developed on pc's and the engine is cross platform its not uncommon to see 360 files in ps3 games if the engine is muliplatform

listenkids3870d ago

Why are people going over the top with this? It'll go to pc at some point next year like the rest. Woopee?

clmstr3870d ago

Next year? No, thanks. As a PC gamer I don't want to be treated like f*cking piece of sh*t and wait for all the console players to buy it and complete it 100% 5 times. This year or f*ck you, R*. We don't deserve to be treated like this.

VonBraunschweigg3870d ago

Most do, only a minority buys GTA games on PC, the majority downloads illegally. You never do so you deserve a better treatment, the majority does not. 1 billion in one week on consoles, PC just doesn't get R* that kind of profit.

Bolts3870d ago

This game coming to PC is a matter of time. Not if. There is no point in digging shit up. Thats basically Rockstar's "nextgen" version right there.

WitWolfy3870d ago (Edited 3870d ago )

I wish I knew this would come to PC... eventually..

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing691d 16h ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos1d 14h ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy851d 13h ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

Demetrius1d 3h ago

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
