Only took them 2 years! The only reason they are shutting it down is because the well is dry, 100 mill is now 2.50$ no more money to be made for Blizzard. They made their money now its time to actually make the game good.

turns on the weather channel: Hell has FROZEN over!

Wow cant believe they did away with it.

Daver3865d ago

Whoa thats a good news, I never thought they would do it. Unfortunetly its a bit too late even if its going in the good direction. The future is bright for Diablo 4 tho.

I wish the console version had the same loot system. Is it not easier to get look on the consoles verses the pc? Isn't the pc version more in line with the d2, that's what I wish.

Kaizin5143867d ago

I feel most people feel it is the quality of the loot versus the amount of loot. One could farm for weeks on PC and not get anything really worth selling (at least not worth selling in RMAH). Consoles at least drop gear relative to the character, so strength items or dex items. Granted, I feel the consoles do drop more loot too, but when you look at the way people have been looking at the console versions, many feel it is the superior version.

From the loot to the generalized (and offline or local coop) feelings to the game itself, many like it more. Diablo 3 was designed for consoles in mind and I personally feel the knocking off of the AH and the loot changes expected by the end of the year will make Diablo 3 much more in line with original expectations.

So will we be able to play offline on PC, too?

wtopez3867d ago

This doesn't feel as good as it should. Maybe I'm subconsciously weary of what Blizzard is gonna f*ck up next. Can we finally do away with that DRM? Rubber-banding on single player is something I still can't get over. AH is being torn down on March 2014? At this pace we should be getting the D3 originally we wanted in mid 2016.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein79d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera388d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33387d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
