Good news everyone! You don’t have to go to a midnight launch to get your copy of Grand Theft Auto 5 on launch day. But in case you decide to go digital for your copy of GTA 5. You should know that the file size is just absolutely massive!
Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC on the 14th of April 2015. That means the game will be nine years old in four days, and it’s still among the most-played titles on Steam. With a 24-hour peak of 145K players, it’s as popular as Baldur’s Gate 3, Apex: Legends, and Destiny 2.
The freedom to explore large areas, approach objectives in multiple ways, and stumble across amusing distractions will always be an excellent format for video games, but some do it better than others. To celebrate the formula and parse the best from the best, have a look at the best open-world games of all time so far.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 are both classics, but movement and general interaction sometimes feels like you're possessed by a fridge.
Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…
The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.
Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games
I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
good thing it'll be downloading for me when im in class midnigt to morning
Had to delete a few things to make room, but I got it. ;)
Also, if you pre-ordered it on the PlayStation Store, any Rockstar game is 75% off. I bought Manhunt on PS2. Then...I looked at more titles. Turns out, that coupon is good for more than one! I bought LA Noire the Ultimate Edition, Max Payne 1/2, and GTA IV:Complete Edition for 75% off, each!
I didn't preorder (I know, I know) and am not going to any midnight launches so I am gonna go on a hunt very early on Tuesday morning to see if there's a single copy left in the entire city. If not I will set up the digital version downloading and refuse to sleep until its done, no matter how long it takes. I just hope it's not like Uncharted 3 which was a pain to download even after clearing the ridiculous amount of hd space it was like four separate downloads to get the game to work.
i rather have a physical copy . My ps3's body is ready
My copy's coming by post. No hassle. Call me old fashioned but sometimes the old ways are the best.
On topic: digital is fine if it's cheaper than retail and they let you pre dl the files. My understanding is that is not the case with GTA V so why bother?
You would also want a fast connection with no dl limits to get this digital.
My copy of GTA is only going to cost me £5 as I went for the GameStop trade in offer. It's a cracking deal.
