GameZone's Lance Liebl writes, "I bought a PS Vita at launch. A lot of my friends told me not to – including other video game journalists – saying it was a wasted piece of tech with no games that didn't have a place in the market. I persevered, but as time went on and the Nintendo 3DS got game after game, I sat there and watched my Vita collect dust. I decided I wanted a 3DS XL."
Hideo Kojima is widely known as a video games auteur, but what are his best games outside the Metal Gear franchise?
Gary Green said: Today’s review actually comes as a request from a reader who took the time to message me. I’m always happy to listen to requests, and whilst I can’t always accommodate every single one, there are certainly times where I can, especially if it helps readers make an informed decision about where to start with a complex, long-running franchise, and, of course, makes for a fun playthrough for me.
Given the medium's wild diversity, this primer of the essential video games everyone should try is a good place to start.
I can't fk with this list. They missed on alot of games probably before the writers times. Also I know people loved some portal but I was never a fan.
Tomb Raider 1
Driver 1
Abe’s Odyssey
FF6
King of Fighters 94
Mortal Kombat OG
LINK 2 the past
Street Fighter 2
Resident Evil 1
Infinite but not the first two games? Witcher 3 but not the first two games?? GTA V but not literally any of the games before it??? Portal 2 but not the first? Also if you're going to play Shadow of The Colossus play the remaster and not the remake. Can't say I disagree with the list but my man it's all over the place.
Awesome list! Hot take on Fear (and it's hard af expansion Persaus Mandate!) Bioshock Infinite is stellar, so is the Witcher 3 and you nailed it by having Ocarina of Time. So many fantastic games! Gotta play 'em all! Next one on my list is Prey after I beat Dead Space 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction.
I have to admit, at first i wasn't really interested, but when i found out about the cross play with PS4 games it got me really interested. I will probably buy one next year some time.
I think it was a smart move on Sony's side, i can see it being an appealing selling point.
And even though i don't really have any need for PS Vita TV i can see how it would be really useful for some people.
I would like to get my hands on a Vita someday just not at the moment.
The Vita's awesome. Mine gets used daily.
Vita is never gonna take off if it hasn't already.
When you want something you make use for it I loved my Vita sinch launch time its my CPU away from my cpu. I had dozens of backlog PSP titles to take down playing on Vita 10 times better than my PSP screen and controls. I enjoyed the bit of Remote play functionality I have with my PS3. ad hoc compatible with PSPs POWER STONE TOURNYs. Some of this was for lack of original IPs but most of it just happend this way. Playstation Allstars crossplay was great for me too. Now posting on N4G on my Vita right back into some KZ Mercs wit an awesome future ahead.
