Same here, had it preordered and paid off months ago. To think it's now only like 5 days away is crazy but here's hoping for everyone that these last days go quickly so we can all enjoy what's sure to be a fantastic game.

Then of course when the game drops the countdown to online begins, but i'm glad it's 2 weeks after launch as it allows me to enjoy the single player aspect and explore the vast area we've been given.

I want to get it but i'm still waiting to see if they announce a PS4 version or if they do taht pay 10 dollars for the next gen version one. So i'm on a wait and see atm.

I have a big backlog so I am not in a hurry, I might actually beat GTAIV with the expansions finally. I have a ton of games to play also I have waited for games longer then I will wait for GTA V next gen announcent I am a patient man : P. If I see a deal though I will pick it up.

Seeing how good it'll look on my PS3 (or 360 for others), I don't think gamers will wait until the next-gen version comes out. You can't miss the initial launch of GTA online!

we all know what it's going to be like at first. Everybody is just starting so we'll probably see some pretty crazy things AND maneuvers out there (looking at the chopper screenshots... :D )

@LOGICWINS I could prove that by letting you go and see every Rockstar game , why? Max Payne 3 got 9.5/10 cause the game was not open world so that mean IGN didn't have in trouble with the game , they just want to review it , but I would say go to Gamespot or EuroGamer and get your review from there

Their "exclusive preview" was pathetic. Romanticizing the act of picking up an AI partner at his apartment as some epic cinematic experience full of subtle brilliance. I bet Rockstar was even like... come on, son.

Game looks great, but IGN would say as much regardless. Just look at their 10/10 "exclusive review" for GTAIV that they spent 2 weeks negotiating with Rockstar.

With GTA IV didn't Rockstar put some reviewers in a nice hotel with everything paid for on the condition that all they can do is stay in the room and play it for like 5 days? I'd say that's sorta buying a review. Not that Rockstar needs to 'buy' reviews, especially for a GTA game, but putting someone, all expenses paid, in a hotel to review your product is swaying the reviewers opinion of the whole experience.

I dunno about that one specifically, but it's definitely possible. Activision flew people out to Aspen to review one of the CoD games, and Ubisoft flew people out to Italy to review Ass Creed 2.

We all know it's going to get perfect scores anyway but I think people need to play on it themselfs before they judge it.

Hell I thought GTA4 looked amazing like I feel now with GTA5 but GTA4 was disappointing after the hype worse off and that got perfect scores when it didn't really deserve them

I have never understood the praise that GTA gets. They are decent games, but not near as good as review scores claim it to be. People shouldn't require a review to buy a game anyways. If you like GTA 4 you will like GTA 5 because they are pretty much just the same game style with new story elements. It will get a lot of perfect scores for sure, but will it deserve is most likely not.

I think it's because they push boundaries when it comes to offensive, foul mouth stuff which has made the series the "talk of the town" if you get what I mean. They are like the South Park of video games in my opinion.

I'm not saying it's not going to be good, it will be I can't wait for it next week but it's because I love open world games.

However if it comes to reviews/awards like the VGAs it's not the game which people review it's the brand name.

I really hope Last of Us wins big at the VGAs since not only because it was amazing with great character development and a amazing story but because it took a chance as a new IP.

agreed. I couldn't believe the meta score being so high . made me feel sick . I did enjoy aspects of IV but was also very disappointed to. (lack of the side missions...annoying phone-calls from that cousin..no rampage etc )It does look like rockstar have listened to the fan criticisms that eventually filtered through all the sycophantic reviews.
