It's disappointing the city is just as small as GTA4's city.

koh3876d ago

Even just Los Santos proper looks a little bigger than Liberty City (and all the water between IV's islands). And then you have 3 or 4 other towns and huge swathes of country, desert and mountains between it all. I'm honestly not disappointed in the slightest.

isarai3876d ago

How the hell do you see that? the map is barely 2/3rds of the city area, factor in the lot of GTA 4's negative space between the islands while GTA V is one complete land mass and it's about twice the size in just the city alone

porkChop3876d ago

What? It's 1 single city that's the entire size of all of GTA IV's world. How is that not a good thing? That's a massive playground.

jairusmonillas3876d ago

it's supposed to have a bigger city than GTA 4.

badboy7763876d ago

Just imagine if this was a PS3 Excursive!

Stuart57563876d ago

Got to love them excursives. I know what you mean though. Just look at the PS2 GTA games and what that did to sales.

porkChop3876d ago

It does have a bigger city than GTA IV. GTA IV had 4 cities. GTA V has 1, and it's pretty much the size of all the GTA IV cities put together. I don't get how this is such a hard concept for you to understand.

Wow! When it zooms out of Trevors picture and you see how tiny the car gets, it makes you realise how huge this map is.

Hype meter is off the charts right now.

drsfinest723876d ago

still undetermined till we play this. how does he match gta 4 to gta 5? how do we know its scaled? its still his hypothesis , that doesnt prove anything.

with that said. the devs did say its bigger than gta4.

derek1st3876d ago

Didn't you notice? Just as he was overlaying gta4 over gta 5, he took that little square that was zoomed in on niko and put it next to michael so that you could see that niko and mickael were the same exact size. Then using the picture of niko, he superimposed the map of gta 4 such that the scale fit the niko picture already on the screen. its not opinion, he has shown how the maps compare. rewatch if if you don't believe me

ufo8mycat3876d ago

Okay so if i got this right

The map size is roughly 3 times that of GTA IV
The City size is roughly same size as GTA IV

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing698h ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming
