Fallout 4 is now available on next-gen consoles, offering 60fps gameplay and 4K resolution. But it's bad news if you claimed the game on PS Plus.
Probably won't happen for PS+ since Sony makes a clear distinction between a PS4 game and a PS5 game, unlike PC and Xbox where it is not a specific device game (It's now always an Xbox game).
So to make the PS5 game of fallout 4 available. Bethesda would need to renegotiate the complete deal with Sony.
hence why there's often only the PS4 version of the game available on PS+.
Let's hope Bethesda and Sony can arrive to term quickly.
In that same link, they talked to further support who said PS+ owners aren’t eligible. What a load of BS! The upgrade worked just fine for FF7R. I was looking forward to this. 😞
PS5 upgrades for PS4 games on PS+ are hit and miss. The reason is usually that publisher doesn’t want to hand out free upgrades. Sometimes they offer the upgrade upfront, sometimes they are bullied into it, and sometimes they offer it later in a special edition that Sony buys for PS+. It looks here like Bethesda’s intent was to raise the profile of Fallout 4 (and sell some DLC) so I expect we will see an update for PS+ versions soon.
Bethesda themselves acknowledged that Plus users are eligible. There is just some kind of glitch and they are working to fix it.

This article is funny. They tell you that $35 is a good deal for this game...We know whose side they are on.
I kind of agree. I see this device being more important to Sony as a company because it directly competes with Apple and Google. It is also a cheap platform to get people sticking with the Playstation brand. It is like a virus. You can pick this up cheaply (if you don't want a next generation system just yet as it is very expensive for a lot of people). Once they have this they could either (or both) get a Vita (when the consumer's library builds up. Not such a big ask to go portable if you have a number of games for it) and/or they will get a PS4 (again later on) as it can connect with a cheap device they already have (a big thing that has worked for Apple and Google: Connecting devices)
Vita TV, innocuous as it may appear, is a direct and mobile answer from Sony to Microsoft's push in multimedia, and one that will explode when Gaikai comes into the 2014 picture. The portability will make any streaming opportunities incredibly valuable for the little box, which is to say nothing of the low entry point for a handheld console. (Though, I'd still rather spring for a Vita.)
