It's also the answer to expanding the Vita user base. It's also the answer to expanding the Vita games library. It's also the answer to deciding whether to buy a 2nd ps4 for a 2nd room. It's also the answer to people like me who get hand cramps trying to play button & stick games on Vita after 20 minutes or so :(

And it's $100...

It lets you play vita,psp,ps one games. Use the playstation store and let's you stream ps4 games to a different tv. My ps4 is going to be in my media room so this will be great to let me play ps4 in my bed room with out unhooking everything.

I know this because I use remote play on my crappy 2Mbps connection. Gaikai should works too, that's why Sony bought them.

It seems you can play it using DS3 as well as DS4. This is great for older games PS1/PSP that may not work straight away with DS4.

They were showing a bundle with DS3 and a memory card. Great news for all those DS3 controllers out there.

Need more demos and explanations but potential is massive!!

its basically a vita but no screen,so it uses the tv as the screen or a controller-uses the ds3
has all the features of a vita in general except that you cant use it without a screen or tv.
its an indoor vita:)

It's a vita without a screen, it still has Memory card and game card slots but it also has a HDMI and Ethernet port

it still has the full Vita UI and PSN store also

So you can play Vita/PSP/PS1 games on ANY Tv

Also it will have remote play PS4 games via Internet streaming

If the PS Vita TV announcement had been made at E3 etc the roof would have come down with loud cheers and standing applause that would have gone on for ages lol..... I am buzzing about the announcements. I have an Oled WiFi/3G version of the PS Vita, but I am happy for everyone else here with the revamped models. That PS Vita TV looks great. I'll be definitely getting one of those since my PS4 will be in the main living room and we have a TV is in each bedroom. Smart move Sony. Can they do no wrong lately. When you're on a roll everything keeps on turning to Gold:) Sony currently have a smart team who seem to be in total sync with there customers :) Long may it continue

Once this thing hits the US I will definitely be picking it up. I already plan on buying a Vita itself. Still need it for the games Vita TV won't support as well as just gaming on the go. Even remote play of PS4 games on the go. I can see myself using this in the bedroom to play my PS4 games a lot especially if my kids or wife are watching tv in the living room or busy on the PS3 since we will still have that as well. This is definitely a step in the right direction and I expect since it is hitting Japan in November it will come out in Feb in Europe and the North America.

You can't take a Vita with you outside. You pay $100 for a good quality screen and full compatibility with ALL Vita games instead of just the ones that don't use the Touchscreen and Gyroscopes.

No some games use camera and touch pad etc and won't be supported as you use ds3 controllers. But I'm hoping they add that feature later that you can use your vita as controllers so them vita games can be seen on big screen. We should def ask for this as I think it should be possible.
