To be fair those people at the gaming events know what happened earlier this summer, MS's early mishaps in the reveal of X1. And Sony's no go with DRM.

@Mars does have a point. there are still many people who are uninformed about the new consoles nor, know what happened.

Either way, I'm glad many, many people are completely behind and on board PS4.

@Godmars and Angelicice You are forgetting that both consoles were on featured on Jimmy fallon and Microsoft's controversial policies were called out. Yes they have since been reversed but things like that will resonate for a long time amongst the more casual consumer out their. I've also been seeing a lot of articles on non gaming news feeds. Microsoft is clearly in an uphill battle on this one.

a lot of Xbox sales are going to the uninformed. At my school people thought that PS4 didn't allow used games and it costs $600, I don't know how they got that info but they did, after I explained to them everything that happened, they changed their pre orders to PS4, it's sad how many "hardcore" gamers have no idea what is going on and will just buy whatever random people will tell you to...

You have to give him credit for staying dedicated to the X1 despite all the grilling it and MS receives on N4G.

I'm choosing Sony next-gen for my own reasons but even if the PS4 was getting grilled instead of the X1 in N4G, i'd still stick with the PS4.

Yeah too bad the PS4 has the exact same features and the closer it gets the more features Micro$haft seems to admit wont be ready until next year....

Yet Gaikai is the only feature that wont be ready on PS4 and they mentioned that at the reveal in FEBRUARY....

Too bad though the One80 isn't a complete package since you still need to purchase the play and charge kit and you still need to purchase the 360 headset adapter....Funny though all PS3 headsets work with the PS4 out of the box and actually have good rechargeable batteries that last years unlike the 360 batteries that were dead in 3 months ...

Doesn't sound to complete to me, and there are no better features again since they both have the same features, just that half of Micro$haft's wont be ready at launch

Pretty sure they used the same voice from the girl they previously asked, who said Xbox One. If you go back a little, you'll notice their voices are identical.

I think it's pretty evident the majority of gamers (those that don't just bro out to call of duty every year) are going with the ps4.

Their domination in the U.S. was theirs to lose, and I didn't think it would happen, but it seems like it will. At the end of this year, ps4 will outsell xbone. I still can't get over how inept and arrogant MS proved to be this year. The whole DRM thing, the back tracking. Now xbone doesn't really have an identity. They've done a great job adopting Sony's gaming ideology of putting gamers first and providing a variety of games as opposed to the predictable stuff that gets produced every year. uhh remember the TV/Kinect presentation earlier this year? Xbox does tv huh? it's a through box, microsoft. With hand gestures that my tv is already capable of doing. And I don't even use that feature.

Well I study at a media Uni. Basically filled with 2000 gamers and I hear regualy jokes at the X1s and MSs expense daily.

Almost everyone I talk to there is staying right away from the X1. Even some of the few that were getting an X1 changed their minds to getting a PS4 after I laid down all the facts for them.

I have a top end rig at home which cost me nearly £3500 to build and i enjoy gaming on it immensely, but not many people can afford that "true" gaming price tag, heck many people cant afford to pay £600 for a half decent rig. The PS4 & X1 offer people a good and cheap way to play games.

I have both the PS3 & 360 sat along side my PC, i will be getting the PS4 on day 1 and the X1 next year sometime.

I'll be dammed if i am gonna miss out on console exclusives because of PC elitism.

Damn, this must be discouraging for MS. They have gained so much but so lil in the past few months with all the 180s.

To those who say this is the hardcore and MS is targeting the more entertainment centered consumers (TV,NFL,Games) I say to you that these are the early adapters and they have spoken. These are the people who like myself slapped down their $600 for a PS3 and waited in line to pick up an Xbox360.

The exclusives are what matters and Sony has delivered since the PS1. The amount of quality and quantity studios Sony has compared to MS is just...well you obviously can't compare.

I love my 360. I loved my original Xbox. I will be buying a PS4. When MS realizes that this is not an isolated attitude and that those of us that feel this way made them the player that they are in the console space then they will have realized their folly. Halo 4 sucked on so many levels that I don't know where to begin. It will not save you this generation like it did the last two. Good luck MS. You will need it.
