Back in 2011 we saw the return of platforming classic Rayman with Rayman Origins. The game was greatly enjoyed by almost all who played it, yet in a world where platformers are no longer king, it never quite achieved the popularity to match its quality. Now we have yet another entry in the franchise, with Ubisoft Montpellier doubling down on all of things that made Rayman Origins so much fun while also adding new elements to create a game that is even better.
Ubisoft barely have a leg to stand on lately, so do they need to crack open the vaults and return platforming royalty to glory for some goodwill?
We need Rayman 4, they could make a great platformer game if they wanted. With the open hub levels and the like.
Better than relying on Rabbids and Assassins Creed all the time
Yes..but I am sure it won't be the Rayman game fans want. Not from the company that is Ubisoft today.
Ancel is retired from games. His hoodlum/rabbid team are doing their own thing. It would not be the same if Ubisoft did.
Experience points, skill trees to fill up, level gating, endless menial tasks and side quests, constantly scrounging for resources. Always having to upgrade your gear. A.KA. "The Ubisoft effect".
No thanks, don't ruin Rayman's legacy.
A decade on from Rayman Legends' release, it remains a near perfect platformer, so what happened to Rayman? Will we ever see another sequel?
Rayman Legends made its debut 10 years ago today, and has been launched on nearly every gaming platform since.
Too bad Ubisoft only cares about live service games now. Maybe one day they'll make a new Rayman game.
Great games.. would be cool to get qn Origins remaster at least..I know that many of the levels are in Legends, but still
Mario should take notes out of something that came from him?
ah
(:
Yeah Mario is the most desired most loved game character out there because of constant hits,Rayman has had a few stella entries,Mario doesn't have a cult following for nothing you know ?? ive never seen anyone dressed up as rayman, look legends is amazing but 1 game can't make Mario take notes its like saying disney should take notes from warner bros because they have made a few amazing cartoons it still doesn't put warner bros in the same league sorry,Mario has had 100's of near perfect games, rayman a few at best......
First the misconception that wiiu is underpowered only to see games like X,Bayonetta2,Mariokart8 ect ect look incredible and very much nextgen, now Mario should take notes from a game series that has mosty failed except for say 3 or 4 titles, look their is alot of hate for Nintendo at the moment,i smell an industry where certain devs and publishers are hoping Nintendo go 3 party.......it wont happen.
Mario hit titles = 100 minimum
Rayman hit titles = 4 at best
