Xbox Live Rewards, Making a Little More Sense

Thankfully you no longer need to be a mathematician to figure out how much money you actually have left to spend on your account. Last week, Microsoft rid us of this headache. And now they’re trying to make their Xbox Live Rewards program make sense as well.

75,000 gamerscore, thats pretty high for the average gamer! Still I am liking the switch to money more and more. There is also no limit on purchase, so if something is 69p this is all that comes off your card, beats buying 400 points for something thats 100.

I think its pretty high also, but hopefully they'll add more facets to the program. We never thought they would give games away for free and they've been doing that quite often lately.

IanVanCheese3884d ago

True but I'm looking forward to having a target to work towards.

I'm at about 72500 give or take.

the point system made absolutely zero sense, and ultimately forced you to spend more money than necessary since the available points for purchase never matched up to the cost of games int he marketplace (i.e. you had to buy 2000 points just to buy a 1200 point game). it wouldn't have been so bad if you could just pay for a 400 point game, and only get charged the equilavent of 400 points.

i was really happy when they finally announced that they were getting rid of the point system. it's so much better to only get charged for what you buy, and in real dollar amounts, too.

Such a good idea........ that should have been initiated back in 2006.

This is how far they are behind what should be.

At least in some areas.

So I'm an xbox gamer since 2002, and only NOW you want to kind of, maybe, slightly reward me for it ?

They probably think this is such a "schweeeeet" deal.

im at 86k already and 3 % is better than the 2 % they were giving.

Also the point system was better. Now they tax stuff. 1600 points got you a 20 dollar xbla now you need 21 dollars for the same ish

Would be cool to see set rewards for certain gamerscore milestones. 30,000g = free game or item.

i can't say how much i love the fact that they've gone to real currency.

Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.

Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.

Fallout 3's Reveal Led To Death Threats And Bethesda's First Security Guard

The artist behind Fallout 4’s Deathclaw reveals just how bad things got back when Bethesda took over the series

People are stupid I get it. No one should feel unsafe,

But I think they need to talk about why they cut so many corners during the development process and why none of their games ever look current. And why they think all of this is okay while they charge full price.

As much as Bethesda deserve criticism, that's not really relevant to the reveal of Fallout 3 in 2007.
