Sony Will Show "More than Ten" PS4 Titles at Tokyo Game Show, More than Fifty Overall

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia announced today with a press release that during Tokyo Game Show it will have "more than ten" PS4 games available to the visitors.

The Ps4 currently doesn't have as much games as one would like, however that is only because they still have more launch games to reveal. Whereas MS revealed everything, SOny saved some for TGS because...you know, SOny sell in Japan and MS don't.

I REALLY hope to see some(or even one epic one) Jrpgs revealed and hope they get a western release with Jp too.

They may have 1 or 2 surprises... But there have already been more than 10 PS4 games announced, so maybe not.

I believe most of their surprises will be held until next year's E3. We will probably only get 1-2 surprise titles b/w now & then.

Microsoft has already revealed their 2014 line up... So the only surprises they will have for Fall 2014 are new gameplay videos. Sony will have several new IP to show. With current demand for the system, there is really not much need for them to show their hand this early.

That's like two series you're referring to. Both of which were VERY POORLY received. Hyperdimension Neptunia and, Time and Eternity. Both sucked. No one cared for them.

Keep in mind this is TGS. So they probably won't be announcing any western-made titles. I'm actually kinda hoping for a next-gen Tales games. They combine traditional JRPG, with action. And it makes a damn good combo.

They are riding on their strong position. It would be unwise to show off games when they're already in a slow position.

It's well known that the first year after a console launch is usually a dry period, so Sony will most likely announce games during this time to keep the momentum and hype going.

We know SSM, ND, MM, etc. are all developing games, we just have to be patient to see what they bring. We'll most likely see at least 1 of those companies games at VGAs, most likely Naughty Dog's (Uncharted 4 is my guess).

Exactly. It's going to be a struggle for Sony to meet the launch demand. Why would they create more demand at this point? Look at their comments on Xbox One and the FIFA deal. That's a desperate move done to increase pre-orders. Sony is fine with their pre-order numbers. They don't need to increase them. Why would you exhaust your exclusives announcements when the console is already a guaranteed sellout at launch, when you can save those announcements to attract more consumers after that initial launch?

Yeah indies are a given, and there are already far too many fantastic looking ones announced already.

I suspect we'll see a gameplay demo of Deep Down, as well as Freedom Wars. Hopefully we will see announced: The Last Guardian, Persona 5, Shenmue III, a new Valkyria Chronicles, a new Siren, a new 'Souls' game, and a brand new AAA first-party JRPG.
