Battlefield 4 multiplayer - my greatest feats and lowest moments so far | OXM UK

OXM UK: "Earlier this summer, I flew to Stockholm in Sweden to participate in my very first 64-player match of Battlefield 4, a game that is to glistening Chinese skyscrapers what a drunk driver is to a curbside snowman. The journey itself was a breathtaking tale of everyday heroism, in which I courageously attempted to list some Swedish celebrities over dinner and at one point got lost in an airport. And the hands-on? Well, the waters are murkier."

I remember playing BF 1942 on PC and experiencing moments in that game that were just burned into my mind. One such instance was having my plane shot down over the desert and parachuting out to safety and then having to walk for what felt like a good twenty minutes on foot to get to where the fighting was. Swimming over to the enemy aircraft carrier and wreaking havoc was always a lot of fun too. Putting mines on the deck in front of the planes before they took off and watching these guys just go up in flames LOL

Good times indeed. BF2 was a fun game to troll around too. Nothing like running around placing claymores at the top of ladders or the classic jihad jeep. Made so many people rage and got a few bans/kicks loading my jeep up with C4 and suicide bombing into tanks haha.

Jihad jeeps is still great , im thinking of graduating to jihad jets next

Edit - well written article, defines the bf experience well

hankmoody3885d ago

LMAO I totally forgot about that! Load up a jeep with C4 and then tell your buddy to hop in and not tell him that what he thought would be a ride with a bro would actually be a suicide run.

Let us all take a moment of silence for those that might of had BF3 as their first BF experience.

I hadn't been playing BF3 for long when this happened. Playing Rush, and after my team lost a pair of defense points we all ran back to the next pair. I set myself up flat on the ground just to the side of a main road, behind this little bump in the otherwise level ground. The idea was to hold up the enemy advance while my team got into position in the main building.

Well the plan worked. For about 5 minutes I managed to hold up the entire enemy team. They just couldn't seem to find me for some reason. And they kept coming down that main road towards the primary building. Yeah, they weren't being very tactical or smart, but that always stood out to me in the early days of playing as a really realistic moment. And BF3 was the first online multiplayer shooter I played (I came to the online scene late), so the completely dynamic nature of the encounter wowed me.

Looking forward to BF4. PS4 Day 1. See you all there!

One of the most memoral situations to me was in bc2,i was trolling around in the midlle of the Atacama desert when i pass by a team mate targeting a chooper with a stinger,i look at him jump around in a greating kind of way and just kept going my how way...
10 second later the chooper that he was targeting crashes right on top of me,hundred of virtual kilometrs to crash and it feel right on my head.the last thing i see is the pilot exiting the cockpit unarmed in the killcam.

I laughed so hard for so long by myself...

Good times, man that game was fun.

Battlefield 1, Hardline, BF4 Servers Are Being Taken Offline by Cheaters; EA Silent on Issue

Cheaters & hackers have been causing grief on Battlefield 1, Hardline & BF4 servers, with nonstop DDoS attacks among other things. Unfortunately, EA has remained silent about it.

-Foxtrot757d ago

Course they are silent, they are hoping people flock to 2042

gamesftw250756d ago

Maybe it was a inside job then haha.

jeromeface755d ago

wouldnt be the first time, titanfall 1+2 anyone?

PapaBop756d ago

Not even if they paid me.. EA always do this with old games with less money potential, if this was Ultimate Team, they'd address and sort it faster than stories could spread. Why invest time in their products when they will just dump it in the following years? Then again EA never could see the forest for the trees.

Inverno756d ago

I imagine after those games were given out for free a couple months back through Amazon, anything that makes people go to 2042 is a plus for them

XiNatsuDragnel757d ago

They want people to go on 2042. My theory

excaliburps756d ago

Nah. I think they can't do anything about it or they want to sink money into fixing it.

Pudge102888756d ago (Edited 756d ago )

EA owns all BF servers so yes, they can do something about it but they refuse to because they dont want ppl playing their old games instead of the new one. Its EA we’re talking about here

pr33k33756d ago

if this happened in 2042, they'd have something to say. which is weird, considering battlefield 1 has more players on steam right now.

Pudge102888756d ago

Its so obvious that EA is doing this or hired ppl to mess up the games so that we’d be forced to have just 1 Battlefield working.

FPS_D3TH756d ago

Honestly it’s probably the devs themselves. They did an update to bf4 way back that kinda made assault rifles doo doo in hopes that people would flock to BF1 cuz BF4 was too perfect

There's a bunch of great shooters on gamepass; both legacy and new.

A recommendation I have is a work in progress preview title called Anacrusis. It's a lot of fun, and has a cool aesthetic.

5 Games That Started Out As A Buggy Mess

KeenGamer: "Sometimes a game starts out as a buggy mess and we all just stop and think, “that definitely could have spent a bit more time in the oven”. This is the case for these 5 games which infamously marked their place in recent game memory."
