Gone Home Haunts Your Soul, 2DS Makes Vita Cry

Up at Noon tackles talks with the developer behind the hottest indie around and asks what the hell Nintendo is thinking.

sincitysir13887d ago

Yeah yeah we get it the ds will outsell and has outsold the vita 162949:1 yes we get it. Move on.

sincitysir13887d ago

I was being semi sarcastic. I made up the number as a hyperbolic statement. That's just what it feels like the Internet spews these days.

title is written so terribly that i refuse to click the article. but i think the thumbnail just about covers it.

moving on now.

I actually just bought a Vita the day after the price drop. With the ps4 on-the-go nature of it; I think many more will too. Maybe not enough to beat the 3ds/2ds, but certainly enough to make them money.

xxPillsxx3887d ago

PS Vita doesn't need to outsell 3DS/2DS to be awesome... it's funny how people keep saying 3DS is selling more than PS Vita means Vita is dead.

mkis0073886d ago

Agreed. Even Nintendo said they have different philosophies.

3DS is targeted at different people which is like Nintendo kind of games and less complicated 3D games with more children like , but Vita was targeted to Console quality games on the go and has great features, specs and value than 3DS with PS+, Cross-buy/play and more to come along with PS4 in the long run since sony never gives up their devices. I love my vita more than consoles since the quality build into this is awesome. Looking forward to more games and remote play with PS4.

Also 3DS is cheaper than Vita, so its not fair to compare both handhelds with sales numbers. And games attach rate of PS vita is great if you consider the install base for most of the games released. If any one tries then they should consider tablets and smartphones as well since they are also doing more gaming now with indies and have 100+ million install based with growing numbers which 3DS can never achieve.

Sony Patents To Prevent You From In-Game Harassment By Reading Your Emotions

A new patent recently published by Sony wants to gather biometric data of gamers to track whether one is being harassed using AI tools.

Profchaos8h ago(Edited 8h ago)

I hope this is one of those patents that never comes to fruition.

I already dislike the fact you can pay a significant amount for a online service buy associated games and content on said service and get banned from that service over potentially a misunderstanding the bans are already handed out for flimsy reasons

I'd rather see money invested in a ban that simply removes the offensive players ability to communicate with unknown players allow them to continue party chats with friends but not with Joe blow on cod.

exputers4h ago

Agreed. Blizzard recently banned a college Overwatch 2 player who's dependent for saying "shit." Pretty harsh.

Take my social security and bank account numbers too! Here’s a picture of my wife and our address.

Cmon where's the pictures of your children. Don't hold out on them.

At this rate I feel Sony will eventually sell a room to play games in it where they can monitor your every breath

Sony Could Increase Your Game's Difficulty If It Sees You Complain About It

Sony has recently published a new patent that wants to dynamically handle the games' difficulty and gameplay based on the player's emotions.

jznrpg16h ago

This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.

Profchaos16h ago

Souls games will be like that players struggling make it harder

PassNextquestion15h ago(Edited 15h ago)

I think if used correctly it could work well

jambola11h ago

cool idea
cool idea for horror games especially
the way it's explained here sounds like it could never be forced hopefully, so that's ok with me

Nintendo's Massacre Of The 3DS And Wii U Is Finally Complete, Regrettably

Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
