As part of its plans to cut 1,900 jobs, Microsoft has reportedly shut down operations at Bethesda France, letting go roughly 15 people
Bethesda France was made up of roughly 15 people... they couldn't of being doing much
Bethesda France mainly did publishing and marketing within the region
Bethesda France focused on publishing and marketing in the region. And 15 people lost their jobs as part of the closure.
I wonder if this is part of Microsoft's strategy to abandoned physical media or possibly gamepass advertising makes their roles redundant you don't need to market a game as hard when the majority of players get the game as part of a sub which already promoted upcoming games
Tbh Microsoft I think Bethesda being 3rd party same with Activision would probably more competitive than thus scenario imo
The recently purchased Activision French offices might take over all the licensing and marketing for Microsoft in France from now on.
With all the PlayStation games that are now coming to PC, is it time for Sony to release a dedicated PC launcher?
Unless they are trying to kill their recently created PC business, I would advise against opening a dedicated PC store. It's an extremely hard endeavor, and people, in general, are very comfortable with Steam. Even Epic, with their billions of dollars invested, is still struggling to find a foothold, and they have Fortnite.
Can tell who ever put this together is not all that clued up on pc gaming.
It's just a known fact. The PC gaming community prefer Steam and Steam alone. They don't like different launchers. I personally don't mind them. But majority just stick with steam. Hence why EA and Ubisoft went back to on releasing on steam and why Microsoft release games on steam as people hated buying from the windows store.
The only other launchers that I imagine are doing ok is GOG due to being drm free and epic games due to the free games every week. Sony shouldn't release any sort of pc launcher n
This is just another ridiculous double standard article.
It's like how Microsoft can spend 20 years of making nothing but gaas and live service style games to sell microtransactions, dlc and subscriptions and get praise for doing it, but if Sony wants to make a single game like that every website under the sun is writing articles saying how Sony is anti-consumer or whatever.
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
Nothing that we didn't already know. What's next? Sony first party studios making amazing games? Kinect 2.0 ending up like the original one?
I do believe that the PS4 could either crush the Xbox One if they continue to do what they do, or just outsell the Xbox by 10-12 Million.
I highly doubt the Xbox One will out sell the PS4, it just doesn't look likely with the NA market slipping from them.
BTW, this guy is always wrong.
Lets see how many people now agree with the famous Pachter.
Oh OH. Now that Pachter had made that predicton, it will be the other way around. Pachter had just cursed the console war.
If Sony announces a new Uncharted or God of War, The Last of Us, or hell, the moment a new Gran Turismo is announced, I can see sales skyrocketing even more. But Halo and Titanfall will do the same thing, methinks. Gears too, probably. I'd like a new one.
