So the perspective on the Console version is a bit more zoomed out compared to the PC version. The graphics are pretty much identical besides the lower reolution on the console versions (720p). The HUD is completely reworked so that you can play it with up to four people simultaniously. The problem of the HUD seems to be that it's hard to see when a spell is on cooldown even on a 50 inch TV. Besides that it plays well on a controller. The screen doesn't split apart when allies are far away from each other. If they stay behind they get teleported back to the leading ally.

Zoomed in you mean. Pc version is a bit more zoomed out you can see more of the area. pc version character looks almost half the size.

Well the have slight pacing differences and the way monsters will mob up also is tweaked for controller speeds. Still pretty solid.

Graphics are close. Shadows, anisotropic filtering and hdr is worse on console but thats expected really.

Besides that Im amazed how close the two are in essence and feel.

Good job Blizz, I play on the pc and the console version feel similar to pc, nicely done.
Would like to see how console versions of Inferno MP4 and upwards are handled. Thats when precise controls come into play.

Blizzard needs to go back to its roots and not streamline all their games.

Reminds me of the fun times playing xmen legends 2 with my family :D
Thinking about buying this..

Play this in 4 player co-op which it has always been meant for and you'll forget why they even made an offline version for consoles.

Fun.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera386d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33386d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
