I miss DAoC, so many good memories

Same here, when I heard that their PVP lead worked on DAOC i was giggly like a schoolgirl :D

I never really show any interest in the PVP aspect of MMO's. I just don't see them as a genre that necessitates a PVP component, and would rather play as a party and quest - essentially like playing it as virtually every RPG you ever played growing up, just with a social/co-op aspect. I'll save competitive MP for shooters.

Factional warfare is kind of neat for those that like PvE though, as the enemy could pretty much be made of mobs and you wouldn't see too much difference. Which is why I like RvR over normal PvP and battlegrounds.

It's the competitive element that I don't care for in these types of games. Regardless how much it may "simulate" a PVE environment, I know that I am playing PVP, and thus, the atmosphere of simply playing against others is unappealing. I have and will always see RPG's/MMO's as games you play with others, not against.

As I've gotten older, I've found competitive gaming to be less and less appealing compared to co-op. I just don't have time for the scrutiny that comes from other players as well as the anxiety.

Just throwing this out there. I am exactly the same way, but I really like WvW in Guild Wars 2. You don't have to build a character for it really, you can just drop right in with a PvE toon and actually do really well.

You have no real interaction, outside of combat, with players from other worlds. You don't even see their names, just rank.

Loved the game before they've announced p2p plan. Now I don't even watch any videos of this. Not that I can't afford it...it's just such a waste when there are such amazing b2p or f2p mmos (hello guild wars). And I don't care you don't need to have XBLG or PSN+ to play it...who on earth would choose 15 bucks monthly subscription for this game over playing all those other games online for way cheaper. You just dug your own grave Bethesda =/. Waiting for next awesome Fallout or normal TES.

People who want to play this game and not any of those other games...
