Latest Revealed Character Is Named Sadira, New To The KI Universe

Killer Instinct Central: On Friday, the upcoming Xbox One Killer Instinct had its first female fighter for the game revealed. Many people have thought it to be a completely redesigned Orchid or perhaps a 2,000 year old “evil” Kim Wu. Well today we can confirm that the upcoming character is actually brand new to the Killer Instinct universe and her name is Sadira.

This is by far,one of the games I'm actually wishing to play on PS4(yes I mean I envy Xbox1 future owners for this game).

Even more than Ryse: Son of Rome(which I don't like really) or Dead Rising 3.

Cool I guess, but in my humble opinion they should have left the new characters for the second wave and introduced the old re-design characters first.

It worked for Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, so I don't see why that wouldn't work here. But I'm sure they know what they're doing.

Yeah I agree. All the original KI characters should have come first for "season 1" then add new characters for "Season 2".

You have a point. I do understand the showing of the new character though. Reminds people this is a new game in a new generation and not just a remake. Her play style is wildly different and will intrigue KI veterinarians

i'm still not excited for this game. even after watching the livestreams and character reveals, i'm still not convinced that it'll be any good.

If it wasn't free to play and was released with all characters up front it would be worth it. Playing a game for a while and getting bored of it only for me not to care about the 2nd half being released later sounds like a terrible sales model

Well you can buy the full version with all 8 characters if you want. They just have the option of F2P.

That makes absolutely zero sense. You can buy the game with all the characters for $20. Or play the game with 1 character for free. Or buy each character individually for $5. How is that a bad business model?. It saves you money. Otherwise you would pay $60 with characters you might not even try out.

The game is only 20 dollars? Is it just a downloadable title then? I had it in my head that it was a full game but I guess 60 dollars for a fighting game with 8 characters would be criminal.

I heard on a podcast the other day (can't remember where sorry) that the "first wave" will release with 8 chars for $20 and something about a bundle with the original ki. Then sometime later the "second wave" will release a further 8 characters for $20 and something about an un named bundle that would probebly be ki gold.

So it could be anywhere from $40 up depending on bundle prices and any other micro transactions that get added

I'd probably choose between Forza and Watch Dogs. KI is F2P but only with 1 character but you can still technically play the game.

Now Killer Instinct is just copying Mortal Kombat, wish Rare would have make a Conker or Perfect Dark sequel. Too bad, im going PS4!

I don't see by adding a new character makes it copy Mortal Kombat. Plus the X1 hasn't even come out yet so who's to say they won't make another Perfect Dark or Conker? There's still many years until next-gen ends my friend.

The fact that the old Killer Instinct launched with more stages and characters than this new XBOX 1 is disturbing. You be paying 8 bucks for every new characters. XBOX fanboys are stupid, I was one but I'm switching consoles. I'm not a PlayStation fanboy either, if Nintendo would have been the best choice I would have gone with them. Because they have Smash, Zelda, etc. But their console is just last gen technology. PS4 is the most powerfull, the cheapest, the best exclusives, the more free to play games, and the most indie support platform.

Every kind of fanboy is stupid. No one is forcing you to get on your knees and buy Killer Instinct. Who cares if PS4 performs better on paper and has more F2P games. Like you PS4 fans say about Titanfall, "I can play that on my PC!!!111". The original Xbox was more powerful than the PS2 on paper but did that hinder PS2 sales? No.
