IGN: "CounterSpy looks fun but plays rough. There’s a great nugget of an idea here – it’s a time-based Cold War-era spy game with shooting and stealth elements – but in the section I played, I was left frustrated by its inexact controls, bizarre shooting mechanics, and sloppy cover system. CounterSpy most certainly has a Metroidvania thing going on, with shades of Shadow Complex and Rocketbirds all over the place, but the demo didn’t remotely play up to the standard of the best games in that beloved genre."
CounterSpy from Dynamighty was an outstanding PlayStation stealth action game with a silly alt-history Cold War. It has been completely forgotten. Why?
I loved this game! Played on PS4 and Vita (for the platinum), art style and gameplay were incredible. I think it was also part of PS+. A cool proc generated stealth game!
I still play this game, mostly on the Vita but also on the PS4. Was sad when the servers were turned off to play against other player's progress. It still is a great game.
Wow, i never heard of this game but it looks fantastic. Going to have to put this on the list of games to get.
VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "The stealth genre is one that some would argue doesn’t even exist – many titles include stealth elements, but actually fit into one of a number of other genres like action, platformer, or third-person shooter. Ever since the breakout success of the Metal Gear franchise (in particular Metal Gear Solid), though, the genre seems on much more stable footing and it demonstrated that you can have a veritable blockbuster on your hands relying only on stealth mechanics as the main gameplay element.
In recent years we’ve seen other things like Assassin’s Creed, Hitman and Splinter Cell continue to push the genre forward, although it still has somewhat limited appeal. Thankfully, the Vita has a healthy selection of stealth games available (and even more with backwards-compatibility), meaning if you’re looking to do some sneaking on the go then you’ll be well served with the console."

I thought this when I saw the latest trailer. Looks like it was made for Iphones first and Vita second
The gameplay sure as hell didn't look good to me when the developers themselves showed it. It just looks very stiff and too segmented.
Meh, I was excited about this game.

Here we can see that there is no stealthy in this part. At the end there is the cover system. It is clear that the aim is too stiff.
The combat/movement definitely seems off. When they first announced the game I was really hopeful because the art style looks great. But this really isn't what I was looking for. Gonna have to pass on this one unfortunately.
