Is it the video, or is the game not as smooth as previous games? It looks like the frame rate takes 5-10 drops when the Pokémons are battling.

Running in the overworld seems fine. In fact, riding on Gogoat's pre-evo looks really fast! Even riding on Rhyhorn was faster than I thought.

I'd put my money on a bit of both. Bear in mind there is no way this is the final build and they love stressing in trailers that "game footage not final".

Could be a wait a see situation.

Also if you look at some of the Luigi's mansion 2 trailers the framerate is horrible but in the full game its perfectly fine. So we'll find out come release :)

On the Serebii.net page Skiddo and Gogoat are two different classification of pokemon. Skiddo is a "Ride Pokemon" whereas Gogoat is a "Mount Pokemon".

Perhaps different Pokemon have their own advantages when being ridden?

There is really no point picking up faults in performance when the game is still in beta.

Nintendo 3DS Games We Still Love Playing Even Today

BLG writes: "While it didn’t sell as well as the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo 3DS was nonetheless a wonderful system. And, while this may be a hot take, it’s easily my favorite handheld. Even more than a decade removed from launch, the system’s library has so many titles that feel as fresh today as they did back at release. While it was hard to narrow down, these 30 Nintendo 3DS games are emblematic of the system’s success."

When Will The Pokemon Company Introduce a New Typing?

The Pokemon Company has a solid thing going right now. Well, it’s been going on for a while, actually, but it has been a while since a new typing has been introduced to the popular monster-taming series. The latest one, Fairy type, was introduced back in Generation VI (Pokemon X & Y), so it does seem like it is time to bring in a new one. Check out Jason Capp's article for more.
