Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls Isn’t Enough to Bring Me Back

CraveOnline writes: "Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls was surprisingly announced at Gamescom yesterday. Usually, Blizzard likes to debut games at its own event, BlizzCon, but it decided to do something different this time around. It's almost as if it knew the expansion wasn't cool enough for BlizzCon 2013."

I'm not cool enough for BlizzCon either... :(

Here's a picture...

Ahahahahah.. that made me laugh.

Yeah, but I haven't played Diablo 3 yet, so I'm still a virgin, and I must lose my virginity DAMNIT!

adorie3897d ago

Don't do it. You might regret it. I'm not being sarcastic either. I'm trying to help you save your money for something more worthwhile and satisfying.

Listen to adorie. Diablo III will give you a major case of gaming depression. It's downright sad what Diablo has become.

sdozzo3897d ago

Losing your virginity is cool.

honestly its not a bad game but it has the Final Fantasy XIII syndrome where it could have been a masterpiece if someone didnt accidentally spill grape juice all over the painting before it dried

Never played before but I really want the ps4 version and the reaper of souls looks good.

Drewminati3897d ago

If you compare it to diablo II, It's not even worth going back to it.

diablo II cap was 100
diablo III going for 60 to 70

Diablo II exp they drop 2 new characters
diablo III exp 1

no no not worth it

Narutone663897d ago

To be fair, D3's level cap is Level 60 + Level Paragon 100.
The always online is what really annoyed me, add an offline option like in D2, and I'll consider buying it.

pandehz3897d ago (Edited 3897d ago )

D3 cap is 160 (60+100 paragon lvls)

@adorie

its an addition. Not a fix really.

They could have made it infinite. But to balance out xp gain, rmah an dgmah economy and public demands. Paragon was added in

adorie3897d ago

Paragons aren't even in the vanilla game. It was an arbitrary fix to a problem that still is not solved.

ftwrthtx3897d ago

I was a fan of Diablo in the beginning but my PC wasn't happy enough for Diablo II. Might try out D3 on the PS3 though.

Trenta273897d ago

You might as well try it there. It was designed for consoles in the first place anyway...

Pintheshadows3897d ago (Edited 3897d ago )

I'll stick to Torchlight 2 and The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing and if they fix its myriad of issues i'd be playing Path of Exile more.

All of these are preferable to the mess that was and is Diablo 3.

Skate-AK3897d ago

Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing looks like so much fun. I hope it comes to PS4.

The Greatest Video Game Comeback Stories in Gaming History

Who says a dud game can't have a video game comeback?

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein82d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

shinoff218383d ago

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera392d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33391d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.

Diablo III Season 28 Brings a New Use for the Staff of Herding

Diablo III: Season 28 brings with it the Altar of Rites, an altar full of unlockable bonuses and potions that will require the gathering of tons of resources.
