That's one of the most decent concole launch line-ups I can remember! I remember when the current gen launched in '05-'06 each console had like 5-10 games during it's first several months.. and I think it was the same when the ps2 released also.

It is a window release, but all of them are released before December ends. Most of, if not all of the disk based seem to be launch titles. While download games will be a little spread out.

Metalgod-What Shwanky was saying, is that Sony stated the Vita will be like having a PS4 in your pocket, and almost every game that you can play on PS4 can be played on the Vita as well. Someone correct me if I'm misinformed :-)

I might give bf4 a go but i've never been a big bf person. That's just me though. I like cod every once i\n a while but it can get repetitive. I think I'm gonna wait and see more of the maps first on boths titles. I did really like black ops 2 maps though

more than anything, If i had to pick a shooter, regardless of console for multiplayer, it would be like halo(3) . I feel its mechanics were the best. Though when you look at something like cod, it has some nice mechanics but with things like quick scoping and noob tubes among other things, the game can easily become broken 9causing spawn issues and such). Now I don't know alot about bf mechanics to say how it plays since i havent played much of bf. But i do see where people come from saying cod is broken or people choose cod because of those things.

i am just glad not to be made out to be a cod fanboy or something.

Edit: I need to catch up on the series before i play 4. I never got past brotherhood. it just didnt feel like a good ac game. At least compared to ac2. I wanna get ac3 though but i have too much to play right now

@Game4life I am glad you liked the Black Ops 2 Maps but in my opinion they are worse than any other Call of Duty. Infinity Ward makes good maps not Treyarch. I get spawned killed and killed from behind on every Black Ops 2 map. They have horrible mechanics. Like Hijacked, i don't know how anyone can like that when its just long hallways to get lucky and run down and no get shot. I do not know if Treyarch knows what corners are. I am sorry i am ranting but in my opinion they suck so bad (except DLC maps, they are good)

The casuals typically want 'mature/violent' action games. (so compare the lists without the sports, and driving titles)

Watch Dogs, AC:BF, Call of Duty, and Battlefield are on both systems.

Besides those, the choice (for casuals) is between Killzone: ShadowFall versus Dead Rising 3 & Ryse:SoR. (possibly Killer Instict as well)

For whatever reason, if someone does not like Killzone - it would appear that PS4 has no 'mature'-action titles for launch. If someone didn't fancy Dead Rising or Ryse - they might still have interest in the other.

From retail perspective it's indeed inferior. Wished Infamous wasn't postponed to 2014, since it seems like a must have game and a great open world offering to counter Dead Rising 3.

Don't know about digital though, since Sony advertizes "launch window" games with no specific dates for these games, while Microsoft specifically mentioned games available on the first day - but then they didn't even mention what day that would be. Dust still needs time to settle.

Edit: at the same time I have to say both consoles show up much better launch titles variety then their predecessors last gen, not to mention the offerings from Nintendo.

By comparison the PS3 launched with 21 across retail and digital with The Xbox 360 at 22 and the Wii at 27... Pretty impressive, still I wished we got more Big budget titles over the small scale indie stuff. Only 2 big budget games announced amidst a sea of indie games on PS4, I honestly thought we would finally hear about Bioshock Vita. Borderlands 2 is a great addition

If you want to count indie games then 360 beat the crap out of ps3 last gen. According to this site only full retail games count not even kinect. Sonys games do not look appealing to me unless you want to download a bunch of indie games when you could get steam where they are and have been cheaper. Sonys ps4 list is full of free to play and indies with a ton of multiplatform. The one kills this lineup and still has more to Announce as in a new lionhead fable game yesterday. Sony has yet to announce any of their big guns. they are teasers, just look at the 32>13 tweets etc.
Sony teased that Naughty Dog Santa Monica and MM all have ps4 games in the works, but they didn't show them.
this show seemed to be about games aimed at a worldwide audience (it was in germany) they showed both indie and concept games from 1st party.
RIME looked amazing, it is aimed at gamers that aren't shooter junkies, and will help them steal the wii gamers that aren't getting their zelda fix as well as ico lovers from the ps2 that have been mad at no last guardian.
