Kotaku First Look At The PlayStation 4's Menus In Action

Today at Gamescom, Sony demonstrated the PlayStation 4's menus and interface for the first time. Also, they unveiled a lovely leather chair!

I liked that much better than the previous glimpses of the UI that we got. More like XMB evolved than it seemed before.

The UI is different; I do like how they have the XMB applied but the interface around it is amazing. Looks like both MS and Sony did a great job with their UIs. I hope we can see more throughout the week.

Way out of sync. But, the UI is definitly a step in the right direction. Looks a lot smoother and sleeker than the PS3 UI.

This looks off to me. The XO has a much better GUI in my opinion. It looks more mature. Think Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Thank you. I'm so glad someone doesn't have their fanboy goggles on and is calling a spade a spade. The PS4 looks to be a good console but the UI and the long load time doesnt do it for me.

it didn't really start up that quick seems like there was a delay. Hopefully we get to customize the interface don't really like the selection sound effect it makes and it looks kinda simple/dull But hey the Ps4 will truly be pretty awsome after it releases and all the good good games been made for example when the ps3 came out the games weren't as good as they were now so just give it some time and we shall be totally blown away.
