We'll most likely hear about it in it's homeland TGS.

Hopefully a Playable Demo at Tokyo Games Show

This happens every year. Gamescom and TGS come up and Journalist start writing about it and pre-hype it and give us a false sense of hope.

But instead its wishful thinking, and we end up upset and disappointed.

They are experiencing "Engineering problems" with the game. Coding issues, getting their engine to cooperate in the PS3 development environment, it's complicated stuff, so much so that the dev team can't figure it out.

They really need to give up and go to PS4, which has a much more dev friendly environment to code in. It's going to be a tough decision but it's the right one.

Yeah I'm hoping we hear something at gamescom, but I doubt we'll hear anything until TGS. I don't know if anyone remembers but Shadow of the Colossus was released just before the current gen hit, so I see this going 1 of 3 ways;

1) It's been pushed back for a nex-gen launch, and we'll see it at TGS if not gamescom

2) It's being kept on ps3 and will be released after ps4 launch to help boost ps3 sales (since sony like to support older consoles as long as they can)

ooor 3) we won't hear anythign again, and we'll default to thinking "Maybe next years TGS" again.

I know the game has had a lot of difficulty on the development side, and my theory is that perhaps everything they wanted to do was too ambitious for current tech and rather than cut content or figure work arounds to get it running on ps3, they started developing it for nex gen instead.

It would make perfect sense why we havent been given any new screens or trailers, and the game did go silent around the time Mark Cerny claims to have been talking ideas for nex-gen with devs around the world. Which was also around the same time FFXIIIVersus went silent, and lo and behold that jumped to nex gen :)

Was definitely one of my most anticipated games for this gen, would be great to get it early nex gen.

*edit* Wow, he does say gen alot (someones will get that...)

Apparently someones dream was to disagree with something you can't really disagree with... and you made that dream come true. I'll buy you a pint for being a hero if you ever find yourself in my neck of the woods dbjj12088, the dreamweaver as you will forever be known as.

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88133d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183132d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie132d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.

The Last Guardian Is One of Gaming’s Most Beautiful Depictions of Friendship

Friendship is hard to depict accurately, but The Last Guardian does a good job of showing all its ups and downs through Trico and the boy.

Technical issues aside, this is easily one of my favorite games from last gen.

ClayRules2012817d ago (Edited 817d ago )

I couldn’t agree more. I’ll never forget the emotional experience I had with this game. After waiting all those years, and than to finally play it. It was a visual beauty, along with offering a story/friendship between the 2 characters that was unique and unforgettable. Far surpassed my expectations. A masterpiece!

Technical issues aside, never have I played anything quite like it!

Magog817d ago

I enjoyed the game but it started out too simple and easy. If the entire game was as intense and challenging as the last 20% it would have been a 10/10 experience.

EvertonFC817d ago

Great game, so underrated. One of my favourites and top 20 games of all time

Phoenix76817d ago

I managed to grab the collectors edition for £40 about a year after it released. Was an enjoyable game, but I had just finished Shadow of the colossus, and whilst I enjoyed it, it was not as good when compared.
