Some people are so sensitive over a game. How do they survive their daily lives if a game can cause such a mess to them

3-4-53911d ago

All your feeling been hurt to us.

So, on one side we have a game. Interactive entertainment inspired by reality, making mechanics of pretty damn ruthless war decisions. This is quite strong and shocking, no doubt here.
On the other side we have Russian government which has murdered hundreds of thousands bloodthirsty unarmed civilians, women and children because they didn't accept the agressor's superiority, deemed victims of aggression as evil, nuked thousands of own people just to see how it'll affect them, and it's track of propaganda and bollocks is easily traceable up to this day.

Sorry, I'll stick with the game. It's nowhere as false as the government.

Just a game ,its fake not real get over it .: )

I'm disagreeing because there is a very large amount of historical accuracy put into the game...

The problem is that Relic cherry picked some of the most atrocious and darkest parts concerning Russia's part in the war.

Imagine how much of an outcry there would be if a game accurately depicted American soldiers mass murdering entire Vietnamese villages (including women and children) because they all "might" have been Vietcong... and you have to directly partake in the killings as part of the game.

That's kind of how Russian authorities feel about this game, though their atrocities that were depicted in the game may not be as heinous as what some American soldiers were ordered to do in Vietnam.

Real or fake, one should be wary of offending people in a video game, especially if they were being lazy or careless in terms of dialogue or story element.

But I'm more interested as to why this is offensive if they were under orders to do what they did.

ChrisW3911d ago

@Pixelsword,

Some people are ashamed about what their countrymen were ordered to do. In fact, many countries have gone to great extents, much to the resentment of the victims, to erase such parts of history from their children's history books.

I want the cherry picking it is what it is maybe they can get Russia a patch or something buck up.

TwistedMetal3911d ago

Russia needs to calm down and this game would of never been made if they sneak tails didn't steal nuclear bomb stuff from America etc. and then chernoble happened. see its bad to steal don't do it if yo don't know what the bleep your doing.

ChrisW3911d ago (Edited 3911d ago )

No, this game would never have been made if Stalin wasn't as ruthless and evil as Hitler was. The only reason why the Allies joined with Russia is because Stalin went back on his "non-agresssion pack" with Hitler.

Few people pay attention to the fact that with Nazi Germany's help Russia invaded Romania, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland.

They shouldn't be apologizing to the 5 Russians who found it offensive.

Very refreshing to see a story give the list right at the top of the article rather than making you click through it 15 times. Having said that, how do you not have HoMM3 on the list?! Yes, it's turn-based strategy, but it still has a strong multiplayer following 22 years later.

I'd say Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge without question belongs on this list.
