5 Games You Can Play For Over 100 Hours – That’s Value

Matt Smith:"One of the many traits unique to video games is the sheer volume of entertainment a game can provide. While a movie is over in two hours on average, and a TV show may offer ten to twenty hours in a season, an amazing game can be played for hundreds of hours.Because many games have no final end, there are many choices, but a few titles stand out for their incredible tendency to drag almost everyone who plays them deep into their world. These games are so enthralling they can ruin report cards, strain marriages and make you want to call in sick for work – consider yourself warned!"

Don't know why the disagrees but you're 100% correct. Demon/Dark Souls rank up their with The Elder Scrolls games in terms of time sinks for me. You can replay them 100 times over and have a different experience each time.

Probably because you could list 50 and more games and this list is only 5 games long.

I have played Demon's Souls for about 40 hours, it is no where near 100 hours. Any game can go over 100 hours if you play the game multiple times.

I already have 60+ hours on shin megami tensei IV! and I'm just about halfway through! I love those high value games! :)

I'd also list Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker, I literally have 150 hours on my save file.... that game has a fuckload of R&D for gadgets and weapon development and collectibles for base management like for different camo.

This article-creator guy seems to love majority games with Birds-Eye view and RTS's :l

I'm sure I put in over 100 hours on pong, but then there weren't any other options back then if you wanted to play video games :)

Who would want to put that much time into a Bethesda game?

DxTrixterz3912d ago (Edited 3912d ago )

Morrowind -105 hours
Skyrim- 134 hours
Oblivion - 110 hours
Fallout 3 GOTY - 65 hours
Fallout New Vegas UE - 54 hours
I guess that would be me. Now call me no life go on. Oh and Skyrim has 4th DLC? What is it? I thought there only was dawnguard, heartfire and dragonborn.

Geez thats some dedication :D

Nah, you have life. I've put about 15 hours into Skyrim this week alone and I've also gone to work, spent time with my family and done a heap of gardening, most people watch about twice that amount of TV a week. It took me 120 hours just to get to level 50 on my current character and I'm still nowhere near done, plus after the most recent patch you can roll over the perks once you hit 100 and re distribute the points so technically Skyrim is now open ended as far as levelling goes.

820h in Skyrim for me. There's no 4th DLC but a big mod called Falskaar was released recently.

No mention of Rockband? Most music games offer infinite replay value, Rock band in particular due to the 1000's of songs available.

Rocksmith is something I'd suggest too. Since it actually teaches you a thing or two about guitar I'd say that is value in itself.

I'd throw in some exercise games too. EA Sports Active is an example, even though the servers are gone, I still use the game three times a week and have at an almost regular basis for two? years.

The fact it helps you get in shape is value.
