Tell me I'm not the only one who's disappointed to see the Vita and Wii U beneath the PSP. The new games for those platforms can't come out soon enough.

Props to 3DS and PS3 though. It's good to know Nintendo and Sony can make up for their shortcomings in other departments.

Agreed. Both companies seem to know how to adapt well in the industry if something goes wrong with one of their consoles.

For Ms being the odd man out, they are holding their own with just the one platform in the market.

If they were to release a portable it would be too much for them to even compete. PSP and 3ds have the portable market pretty much locked up. Its a game of one on one between the two where a 3rd just wouldnt fit in.

What im curious about is if the vita can play all these digital psp games then why is the PSP still such a hot item?

To me the vita is the better deal because it plays its own games as well as the psp and minis and ps-mobile ones. It's got to be the price and/or ease of modding for those who are into homebrew.

@darthv72 I agree but in a way windows phone and windows 8 rt/pro on tablets is there handheld market and it has some must own games now like the new halo game and hydro thunder.

On the hardware side good to see everyone is selling well apart from the Wiiu and psv. I think the Wiiu sales will start to pickup come the last quarter of this year as there is looking like it will get a price drop and it has some big name games on the way. As for the psv I've been disappointed with the games on it. I got it on day one as was really excited for the console but it is really lacking in games for it and I don't see any games that are coming over the next 3 months that will help it. Yes it has kill zone but I don't see this game as a system seller plus kz is also on the ps4 and this will get pushed harder than the psv version. I hope im wrong but I don't see Sony pulling anything back on the 3ds with the psv.

I'd love it if Vita and Wii U could turn around. There are fanboys on both sides hoping for them to fail. I'd love to see them proven wrong.

Props to the PSP. Who would thought that "failure" is outselling 4 different hardware and even the one who kicked its ass the DS.

@darthv72 you could get physical copies of PSP for very cheap that is why. Also you can pirate the f out of it and play so much.

PSP is really the ultimate handheld. Its magic ? Free games that are on different platforms. This thing was a Ouya before that existed.

@darth I heard it was a failure a lot on the web. PSP had a huge hater fanbase. I have no idea where it was coming from /s.

Most Nintendo people viewed the PSP as a failure because of the big lead the DS had over it. Naturally, MS fanboys have jumped on that as well.

Pretty good numbers for TLOU and well deserved, it's a great game, and a new IP.
Surprised that the PSP is still selling like that.
So Sony is about to be supporting 4 machines, 2 handhelds, and 2 consoles, that is unheard of

Here is a example the "3ds is stomping vita in that chart" This was going on last gen with the DS and PSP conversations so when the 3DS becomes old and Nintendo releases a new handheld system then the Vita is going to be on top of the 3DS.

what is truely sad is these sales everyone is going crazy over are not that promising for any of them as far as software goes. there hasn't been a single games top 2.5 million in 7 months? that isn't a very good sign.
