Heavy Rain, an interactive drama released in 2010 by Quantic Dream, puts players in a role in which they are required to make decisions and live with them. While this is an interesting concept, and executed rather well by Heavy Rain, it leaves a bit to be desired, and Quantic Dream should look to The Walking Dead to see the areas in which it can improve and expand for future titles.
Quantic Dream are set to offering hands-on opportunities at PAX East 2024, but which game it will be has not yet been revealed.
Today Telltale Series has confirmed to TechRaptor that it has laid off a number of employees, while the games currently in development remain in the pipeline for the time being.
Sadly, this is Deja vu, with Telltale going through this type of thing before in 2018 - thoughts are with those affected. Games companies and all sectors always follow each other, with the bad press reducing as each new announcement is made - sad times we live in.
Quantic Dream has announced a new publishing label, Spotlight, following the reveal of debut title Under the Waves.
Interesting to see how this works out for them. QD have had a very lucrative partnership with Sony. David Cage is a household name among Playstation owners, and he might not have been if QD stuck with Atari as their publisher. Now they're launching Spotlight so they can circumvent Sony exclusivity? I imagine this isn't the last we'll hear from Spotlight.
Can’t wait for all those quicktime events and bash-you-with-boredom storytelling.
I should really try TWD. Hope it's as good as the TV show.
So good! @racer-x
sorry, but i don't think that quantic dream really needs to learn anything from telltale.
i mean, the walking dead was really good, but...
maybe telltale should try to get 30fps locked down first...
I'll get disagreed to death for saying this but I thaught The walking dead was pretty dull. Graphics, animations.. eveything lacked polish and the story was not THAT good.
Bought this game based on all the positive critics but it left me disapointed. But then again maybe it's because I've completed it right after I finished The last of us.
