I'm very tempted by this - and it's a tempting price as well. I already own MGS1 as a PS Classic download, and MGS2 and 3 on PS2 (although never properly got round to playing them), and of course, MGS4...

Might have to try and pick this up.

Honestly, you'd probably be better served by just grabbing the HD collection, unless you really want VR Missions and the Ashley Wood digital graphic novels. It's a nice collection, but other than an art book, there's not a whole lot of reason to grab this if you already own a few of the games already.

Even so, it's a nice price for a great collection of games.

Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions was a stand alone game that used Metal Gear Solid's (PS1) engine to create all sorts of random challenges. Time attacks with each weapon, sneaking missions, even murder mysteries. It's an interesting game.

The version of MGS 2 included in the HD collection (and by extension, this Legacy Collection) also contains its own set of VR missions, and serve largely the same purpose as the PS1 game, but with better graphics and deeper gameplay.

Has a dlc code for MGS(just like online pass), then its not a collection at all.

I'll pass, to me this is not valuable at all...

Yeah, that was honestly my biggest complaint with the set. It's not like the PS3 can't play PS1 discs, they could have just slapped the discs in there.

Cost of production would probably be a bit too high though, considering no one's making PS1 games any more, and they use those special black discs.
