The Call of Duty Community: An Embarrassing Reality

FPS General Writes : If asked five years ago, I would have happily revealed that I was a Call of Duty fan through-and-through. At the time of CoD4, the community flourished and was prosperous for all. Yet when you fast-forward to present day, admitting you’re a hardcore Call of Duty fan is somewhat of an embarrassment..

I have met some good friends from arguments on COD,

A few have been through talking crap to each other then doing what every non-respecting COD player does and offers a 1v1, then when they are alone turn out to be nice people,

When Ghosts comes out we will be opening up the Clan for recrutement again and probably half the people we get will have been arseholes and then good friends.

I'm COD fan, It not that hard to say it

What hard to say and what will get you hated is saying that COD is better then BF
which I don't think is completly true I just like COD more

The thing is this is just the vocal minority. These (like any obsessive fanbase that are apart of a huge crowd) people do not know how to control themselves. Do not lump the rest of the fanbase with them. They are not all like that. I can safely say nearly all are fine.

I wouldn't say these people are necessarily a minority. Regardless, the vocal part of the community is the one people will take into account when they look at it, and CoD's is far from being ideal.

After releasing the same game for years and years you start to filter out the smart people who can see through cods BS. After this your left with the people who like to watch videos and listen to music that loop every 20 seconds and get addicted to it. Immature fan base with nothing better to do then say bs about your mother and send death threats to developers because its the only way thy know how to communicate

People have to remember, COD wasn't always like this. The bad community probably started in MW2 maybe COD4 but COD3 ( The WW2 one) And everyone before that had a great community and great competiveness without people calling each other noobs and cursing at each other.
