Canceled Saints Row III 'Enter the Dominatrix' DLC to be released as SR4 add-on

GameDynamo - "Enter the Dominatrix, the Saints Row expansion, has had a weird history. Initially revealed as an April Fool’s joke last year, the DLC was confirmed to be coming to Saints Row: The Third the following summer only for Volition to delay it, saying that it would be incorporated into SR4 instead."

Uh no. You make it a part of the game.

OmegaShen3923d ago

I wonder why people make bs about the dlc? I watch video and the makers of SR said they took parts from the dlc an added it to SR4. Plus they felt it was kind of dumb having one team on the dlc and another on SR4.

So I can careless about getting a new dlc vs getting a new game.

That title doesn't need the words 'add on'.

ExCest3923d ago

Why? It clarifies that it's a DLC for SR4. If you remove "add on", you get a title that says the DLC is what SR4 is, which it isn't.

Unless you are making parody that all SR4 is is a DLC to SR3.

"Unless you are making parody that all SR4 is is a DLC to SR3"

There you go.

ExCest3923d ago

@^ Well, that's not very nice to the developers.

NarooN3923d ago

Honestly SR4 does look like DLC for SR3. The graphics look exactly the same, same controls, everything's the same, they just made the game itself wackier. Not really sure why they decided to just make a whole new game, but whatever.

Hold on, so they axed the DLC from SR3 to put it in SR4, but it is now going to be a DLC for SR4? Why not just include it in the retail release?

Volition's Saints Row 4 PC upgrade was meant to be a make-good, but it broke the game instead

Remember this year's Saints Row(opens in new tab)? Volition would probably prefer that you didn't, which might go some way to explaining why the studio recently decided to upgrade everyone's copy of Saints Row 4(opens in new tab) to its full-fat Re-elected Edition, containing all the game's story and cosmetic DLC and even introducing cross-play between Steam, Epic, and GOG versions of the game.

Unfortunately, that upgrade seems to have backfired, and players now report a myriad of bugs with their new version of SR4. Both the Saints Row Steam forums(opens in new tab) and subreddit(opens in new tab) are filled with players complaining of broken saves, crashes, and mods failing to function. It's also received a few hundred negative Steam reviews(opens in new tab) since the update. If it's succeeded in washing the taste of Saints Row (2022) out of players' mouths, it's only because it tastes even worse.

I wonder if Volition's getting reorged under Gearbox impacted the quality of their release.

i can't help but laugh at this comment. Gearbox can't even run themselves.
