GenGAME writes: What should Nintendo do? Is it finally time to let players take control of the fabled princess, or should they stick with the tried-and-true style where Link takes center stage? To that question I ask, “Why not both?” Looking at past Nintendo games and concepts, there’s plenty of room to incorporate both characters in a way that spices up the traditional Zelda formula and satisfies everyone.
"Thanks to the wonders of the Nintendo Switch Online retro games libraries (and some pretty top-notch remasters along the way), the Switch is now home to a whopping 16 different Zelda titles by our count, covering everything from Link's first outing to his latest adventures, plus remakes, remasters and spin-offs." -Jim Norman of Nintendolife
Here are five franchises I believe need the turn-based treatment and how it should be done. Check out the article
Want to play nearly every single Zelda game on one Nintendo console? Well you can, but it involves getting hold of a Wii U.
Or a moderately recent PC, CEMU is amazing. Even a 1050 can emulate the games at a higher res than the Wii U :)
No you just need this https://cemu.info/ and the roms. It will look so much better on the PC even in 4K, you can even use reshade to make it look even better. How about a little ray tracing to 😁 https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Its called "The Legend of Zelda" not "The Legend of Link".
Zelda should at least be the protoganist in one of the series. There a reason why it called legend of zelda and not link lol
I always thought it would be a good addition to add strategy and military decisions into LoZ via Zelda.
-She is a princess in charge of armies.
Maybe something akin to a very watered down Fire Emblem- and you have to set units to guard the castle for a certain amount of time.
Or maybe Zelda's decisions could make slight changes to Link's quest. Maybe a different cut scene or meeting Gannon (or Enemies) at different locations.
Or maybe you could use Zelda's resources to make one of the many areas you have to go to easier to navigate. Let it be up to the player to decide which.
Have her useless like the girl in Ico and you to escort her through Hyrule holding her hand or she will wander off and get lost because she had ADD.
How about take a break from zelda (the character), since the most abscract and interesting zelda games story-wise dont have her in them. Or reboot the series and give it a cohesive storyline :P
