....and this is EXACTLY why Rockstar is holding back on announcing GTAV for PC cause it would cause consolers to just wait for the PC version so they can get INCREDIBLE MODS like this.

I already have the Avengers Mod but this one has a better Hulk!

YES still playing GTAIV PC cause of the wonderful mods.

Why would it matter to Rockstar if a person buys the PC version or the console version of GTA V? They still get the same amount of money lol

lilbilldop33934d ago

actually they dont care if any buys pc or console, they care about the people who are hacking the game and making it their own basically.

I agreed with you, but I have to disagree on the DLC though. If the mods are better than the DLC, then I can see where R* would have a problem with it. Although DLC does come out later on (most of the time), some mods are truly awesome and could dissuade some folks from picking it up.

What I would do though is make bad ass DLC like Gay tony and the LatD, but don't do any drastic changes to the game code so that a customer's mods wouldn't be affected.

The only other issue for simultaneous PC release would be the pirating problem on the PC. They can curb some of this by putting out more demos on the PC. There is next to nothing for demos on the PC for blockbuster games.

I have a huge Steam library of games, but I have pirated a few of the games I was not sure I would like here and there to try them out before I buy them.

There isn't a Red Box or rental store for PC games. Once you buy it, tough shit if you don't like it. I have uninstalled every game I have ever pirated that I didn't like and have bought the ones I did like when I could afford them. I would gladly have paid the developer a couple of bucks to sample their game for an hour or two to see if I wanted to go all in on it.

There are so many games that I have bought after trying them first that I would otherwise not have.

The XBOX 360 did this very right. There is a demo for nearly every new game that comes out and if there isn't you can at least rent it. The PS3 played catch up on that and does match the 360 on the games demos. PC needs work in this area or piracy will continue to be more rampant.

I believe this is the biggest contributor to piracy on the PC. Demos and/or rental service for the PC would work wonders for piracy.

GTA V shouldn't have this problem, but there will be people on the fence. Persuade them with a good demo of Trevor.

it matters cause MS/Sony pay alot of money for R* to advertise GTAV on TV for their consoles.

it's a business deal thing and having MS/Sony loose out on potential sales to the PC would basically be Sony/MS paying to advertise GTAV for the PC instead of for the XB/PS

any other time R* announces PC version but this time in a world of Timed Exclsuives (Microsoft) and TV commercial Deals (Sony/MS) R* has to hold back on announcing the PC version or breach contract with Sony/MS.

Hey guys remember The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction? This made me think of it really great game :)

RGDubz3934d ago (Edited 3934d ago )

Terrible, why not just play the more recent "The Incredible HULK" game? The graphics are much better especially on the HULK himself, you can throw vehicles into buildings, leap, bound & climb much better plus you have real HULK abilities.. The game also features total destruction like mercs 1 & 2, I don't know why you'd waste time with a half assed mod like this.. The GTA: San Andreas "Superman mod" was way better.

@ CaptainYesterday

Did you miss this generations HULK game? Ultimate Destruction was fun but the newer game stays true to the HULK, some people didn't like it as much because of that but I'm sure most real HULK fans like it better.
