These journalists express a thought that came to them when Microsoft dropped their supposed bomb shells so people like you can try to understand it better. What you can't get over is that you got addicted to the Xbox and now it is a big problem. well I actually beleive this to be true for this new gen since the new xbox forces you to have a kinnect and is less powerful.

I dont have to put much thought into what one I want most because xbox1 is 100$ more expensive and sacrifices power for motion controls, and I hate motion controls/cameras/wands etc. Only thing I like is plastic guns and surprisingly there are none on kinnect. Thought that would be obvious for MS, pretty dense of them.

I love those types of games. I had house of the dead 2 on the dreamcast and 2 light guns with auto fire and auto reload so you could use both and destroy everything.

Those were the only games Id spend money on at the arcades. Time crisis games, house of the dead, that jurassic park one, virtua cop, silent scope and that more recent one with the vibrating smg. I even remember some older one where one person drove and the other shoots stuff. I always loved those moving time crisis guns especially, sadly they were often broken.

Besides I'll tell you one thing from personal experience Playstation was always more popular with any women that I know (after the wii but that was more casual). Most females that like to play games beyond the level of the wii tend to go for the Japanese anime art style games, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and so on. So although now games like FF are multiplatform they'd still rather play them on Playstation. I think it's because historically PS does tend to have a greater variety of games that are exclusive or better publicised. I mean you can't seriously tell me that HALO, GoW and such aren't aimed soley at men with their tostestorone filled macho lines (GoW I'm glaring at you) and massive metal space armoured commando on steroids characters. Personally as a guy this makes me run a mile aswell. There's something about it that just makes me feel...almost ill. (I really hate GoW). Even KZ2 was a step to far for me, kz3 was pushing it but not so bad. Resistance was fine as an fps and didn't suffer from this too much, uncharted no problem, racing games etc are fine. Personally I really enjoyed Alan wake-no idea if that had a particular bias towards a male or femal audience though. Ummmm Quantic Dreams games are apparently particularly popular with girls, even those that don't usually play above the level of the wii. Point I'm making is I'm a guy I'm getting a ps4. However equally I'm sure there are many girls that also plan to. And there are even more just that I know directly that if they were to buy a console current or next gen they'd buy a playstation because of it's tendancy to have better Japanese support and greater variety of genre's. So this whole article is pretty limited and pointless. Oh and the girls liking the Japanese style stuff more than most guys I know is definitely a trend I've seen online aswell not just amongst people I know face to face. Wonder why it is though?

Yeah because internet polls are always accurate. Sorry guys, no internet poll has ever been accurate. When something wins it's usually because the winners flocked to it, and the others didn't care. Golden poo awards of 2013 ring a bell? Very obvious EA wasn't the worst company of the year, worst gaming company sure, but not the worst company. But when the fanboy dribble have a chance to jump on a band wagon, they jump for it. Hence why internet polls are always stretched, and wrong.
