It's using statistics and numbers gained by simply how much, and how many times the name, X1, Xbox One, anything was talked about it, even if you were talking trash or calling it GARBAGE it would recognize that you used the words that were tagged for its collective-analysis. Meaning, Googling "Xbox One DRM" - It pooled it. "Xbox One sucks" - You're counted as a point towards a viable customer.

No and just NO. Microsoft is not leading in popularity or publicity as if ALL publicity is good publicity...

These people who only know Xbox don't know gaming. It is obvious from their uninformed comments. You have to feel sorry for them. As the owner of a 360 and a PS3, there has been no contest between the two platforms over the past 3 years. Sony clearly has the better first party titles. That is just the way it is. To rant and rail against it is like denying the sun is a burning ball of plasma gas and we instead get our light and heat from the moon. It's nonsense. And for anyone who is impartial, and is looking at the PS4 vs. the Xbox One, PS4 is kicking ass while Microsoft can't even get their messaging straight. The PS4 won me over before the console was even announced. Why? Their first party developers are the best in the industry and have created most of the best games of this generation. That will only continue. The fact that the PS4 is a more technically capable unit is a bonus that I wasn't even anticipating, to be honest. I thought Microsoft would outspend Sony to ensure they had the more powerful console, but that didn't happen. Now, Xbox only gamers are scrambling trying to justify why they are going to purchase that box at 499. There really is no justification, as the 'TV' and Kinect features are a novelty that are already done better by proprietary apps for tablets/laptops/smartphones/ and smart tv's. As usual, I will probably buy both. I was not going to purchase the Xbone with their ridiculous restrictions, but once the price comes down, I will probably buy one assuming they have some exclusives I want to play (at this juncture I haven't seen one game that I really need to play). But at launch, the PS4 has earned my dollars, and it's not even close.

But I am sure both companies are more interested in what happens the first year, the entire life cycle. It's safe to say that Sony fanboys are trying to drown out opinions, not all, but they're definitely doing it. The negativity now is all from the fanboys, nothing more. Have a read to what the PlayStation fanboys have been typing, while actively signing the petition to bring back DRM.

They haven't had a good E3 since 2007, my expectations were pretty damn low, and they blew them out of the water. I was beyond impressed by the fact pulled that out of their ass. The DRM was still around but they got rid of that now too, so it's a definite purchase for me. Day one both consoles.

EDIT - The more I think about it, the more I laugh at the idea of a "War of Attention". It sounds so childish. MS has their best E-3 yet. They showed great games and that's what it's all about. Metal gear, Titan Fall, killer Instinct, Forza 5, Quantum Break, Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Crimson Dragon, Sunset overdrive, and Project Spark were all good.

It's all pretty mute. Until you get the console and games in hand to actually critique the game play for ourselves this is all speculation. All the games M$ showed only one or two games that interested me. PS had more interesting original games than the cookie cutter game design MS had. Ryse was real boring to me. The same combat strikes over and over again. It was like looking at a 360 game for an example. They had limited game movement.
Watch Dogs had more than standard movement. More imagination. Can't wait to get my hands on that game.
I can't wait to see the poll of how many Xbox fans sell their console for a PS4.
