It's not worth it. I was given a free month of it and every single game I wanted was out for the entire month. And these were older games too.

Unless BB decides to drastically increase the number of disks they have for the popular titles, they are doomed because anyone who tries this will quickly cancel it.

Blockbuster sucks for games rentals.. for older titles anyway. Rarely ever get any of the main stuff I'm after and they have a shocking selection compared to lovefilm. Having said that though, they are doing a good job stocking newer titles, managed to top ticket Injustice and The Last of US within the first month of their release.

Boomerang rentals are ok but pricey..blockbuster have a great marketplace though and Defiance was a tenner from there

but if someone likes the game they're renting then they'll buy it. I've rented about 45 games in the last 2 years and I've bought the ones that I enjoyed. games like Heavy Rain and Ni No Kuni which I would have NEVER paid full price for because I wasn't sure if I'd like them.

its like watching movies online. if you watch one that you really like then you'll probably go out and buy it on blu-ray or DVD. why would you spend money on something that you might not even like.

Their are some skilled video game players that will rent a title and finish it in one day and won't buy the game at all.
I'm guilty of doing this also but if the game has an awesome online multiplayer they will buy it.

You do realize that those games that are being rented out were bought new right? And what's so wrong with rental, should I stop renting movies since the producers aren't getting paid from it? Long live rental.

People are quick to forget who gets the lions share when it comes to a retail game. Retailers get a few quid nothing major. They make their money on rentals, trade in and retail game deals so say a publisher has a great game they will say hey you buy X amount of game A and you can buy Y amount of game B.

People need to realize publishers/developers should not receive a cut of every single time a game exchanges hands.

Do movie studios when movies are? Do car manufacturers do when a car is sold 2nd hand? Do any manufacturers of products get a penny when people sell their goods on eBay? No so why should gaming be any different?

blockbusters online rental service is just terrible...they dont get new games, and they take forever to get. If they want to be competition at all, they need to get new games(not just in store), and fix their shipping and turn around time.

Let me tell you from experience. Games are 3 months old at NEWEST point. Also most games are not available for weeks at a time. NOT WORTH IT. USE GAMEFLY!!!

I have one down the road from my place. They make you put a credit card on the account just to rent a game. Don't own any credit cards so I havnt rented anything from there in 5 years.
