actually almost all PS3 exclusives are single playthroughs that need to be traded in after.

I used to have a ps3. You just can't play Heavy Rain, GOW3, and Uncharted again after you beat it.

This is the glaring issue with story driven games. This is why modding exists on the pc side. Oh you beat fallout? Try this mod where you get next to no ammo and have to drink & eat every so often or you'll die.

Because of Uncharted, The Last of Us, Yakuza, Marvel vs Capcom 3, Valkyria Chronicles, etc. Because my friends are not on the PC. Because PC can be hooked to an HDTV but you still need keyboard and mouse. Because PC towers are huge and I don't have that kind of space under my TV. Because PC games are not as optimized as console games so you always run into issues where you need to be constantly checking on the latest drivers from Nvidia, AMD, etc. Because PC is mostly digital and I like to own my games. Because PC gaming is not a cheap as people make it out to be, it's only cheap when you're savvy enough and know when to buy parts at a bargain, otherwise is much more expensive than a PS4.

There's also the issue with consoles now where game saves like to go corrupt. At least on the PC you can back them up easy.

There's also that issue where DLC isn't held back because the hardware can't run it.

1. Uncharted, Last of us, Yakuza, Marvel Vs capcom dont exist on the PS4.

2. You dont need a Mouse keyboard when playing with a PC on TV, you can use a controller, Steam big picture mode says hi.

3. You can make an HTPC just the size of a console. Large tower cased PCs are extreme machines.

4. If PC games are not so optimized, same argument can be made for console. Check out Skyrim (still not fixed on PS3), BF3 (Input lag PS3), COD (FPS issues PS3), Mafia 2 (missing foilage PS3). List goes on, its not like PC is the only one badly optimized consoles have their fair share too. When it happens on console you cant do anything about it either, since you dont have a community who can role out patches before the developer do, you cant upgrade the console hardware either. You just stuck when something goes wrong.

5. Checking for drivers on PC is an option, you do it when you want to or when a game gives you issues. On console you cant play without a firmware upgrade, you are locked to it. Wanna play when a firmware update comes tough, you gotta install it first.

6. Well being digital isnt bad, I have over 150 games in Steam. I can carry on playing them even when a next gen arrives on the same machine or even should i decide to upgrade my machine. Can you play your ps3 games on the PS4? no you cant, you will need to keep multiple boxes just to play older games. Even then if the older box fails you need to go out buy it again. Maintaining multiple machines is costly and takes up space.

7. Check Steam & greenman gaming discounts PC gaming is def cheaper. Sure it costs few hundred more to build a PC, but then online is free and really that little extra spent also ensure BC. Refer to point 6.

The framerate trouble on skyrim on ps3 is almost non existant, as is the input lag on bf3. Both problems have been patched out. In the end pc gaming is still more of a hassle, you run into more problems then you do on console, but for some people its worth it for the benefits. I don't really feel too inclined to get a pc though, since there aren't many exclusives that interest me. No need to spend a bunch of money for enhanced ports.

About every pc game made in last 6-8 years has controller support. Unless its a genre like mmo where it isn't feasible to use one.

Steam even has a nice feature where they display an icon of a controller next to the game prior to the purchase to let you know its compatible.

You can very easily get emulators to play thousands of last gen nintendo or sony games for free on pc or android. Havent heard of many peeps using for ps3, wiiu, or 360, but im sure there out there too.

I am not sure about PC gamers getting a xbox. That's debatable, but there are Jrpgs like the YS franchise, recetar, fortune summoners, evoland, etc. What do you mean by Nintendo games if it's the exclusives well ever heard of the dolphin emulator. Is an emulator that let's you play wii games, gamecube games, etc. on the pc. Yeah I agree there is no Sony exclusives on the PC ; however, look at all these wonderful survival horror games both modern and retro like amnesia dark descent, lone survivor, home, lucius, slender, etc. Look at these Japanese games like cave story, Satazius, sinus mora, cherry tree high comedy club, every day shooter, la Mulana, bloom freesia, street fighter 4, tekken vs street fighter. Not to mention Japanese mmos like rusty hearts, final fantasy 11 and 14, planetside franchise, spiral knights. So that's a part of PC gaming.

You can either hook up a gaming rig to your tele or build a home theater gaming computer . These are the size of a vcr, think of the shuttle box. This box alone can get an Intel i7 processor plus a Nvidia gtx 580. There are PC games with split screen multi player like trine franchise.

Not so sure about that only PC games that can be simplified for consoles. The total war franchise, Arma franchise, Among the sleep, Enola, Constantine, Asylum, Hawken, Mech Warrior online, Distance, etc are not coming to consoles. I understand warframe coming to consoles is because is an online action game but a game like dear Esther or to the moon are very unlikely to come to consoles. Games like the Arma franchise or total war are unlikely to come to consoles due to its complexity and down to every single little detail which also includes prison architect. Now those games that do come to consoles are the simplified versions of say PC games.

More control of your gaming experience by building your own PC, able to fix say games before the developer fixes them, able to run private servers and play online games were the game developer has shut down the online servers I. e. Halo 2 on PC or Phantasy Star Online, improve or create your own dlc content via mods. Getting multi platform games at bargain prices and at their peak technical, visual, audio performance. Don't forget lots and lots of survival horror games , Jrpgs, Japanese games, Asian mmos, platformers or retro style games, emulators like dolphin emulator, etc. Is just a better gaming experience period

cause steam in europe is garbage. Prices re joke apart from those yearly sale bundles. Years old games are 15,20 euros(on consoles same games cost less and u own psyhical copy), new releases re 60 euros(on consoles i get games for 45).

Im writing on i5 with 8gigs of ram and i play it like once a week, i use more my ps3(currently tlou) for gaming. Maybe it sounds stupid but last thing i want after 8 hours of work is to sit again for pc.

I dont care for mobas, rts games anymore(dont have time for it, total war etc)not much into mmos.

Why havent I joined yet?

I really want to... and it seems like I've been saving for my maxed out gaming pc since 2005 (when I could legally start working full time :) ), but something always comes along that takes priority over my gaming rig savings. And beleive me I really DO want to join the "master race", mostly because I'd rather play multiplats and pc exclusives on a pc, and reserve my consoles for exclusives.

The thing is, I don't like missing out on gaming experiences. It literally pains me, I have to go to my friends at least once a week to play DayZ and honestly at this stage it feels like I'm using him a bit haha, so having my own PC that was able to play current releases would be nice.

I just don't see why you can't have a console and a pc, or if you only have one, at least admire or take interest in the games that you are unable to play... don't respond with hate stemmed from disappointment or jealousy.

Be a gamer, enjoy the quality experiences developers are delivering whatever way you can, whether you're on PC, console or handheld. And if you're fortunate enough or know how to work towards your goals, enjoy all three in the best way possible ;)

I like PC gaming i have the alien ware computer very powerful very fast but i cant get that gaming feeling i would get from a ps3.. god war,journey, echcrhome, flower, all those unique games pixel junk monster or a Nintendo console with game like Zelda metroide super, smash B or a Mario game.. Game suppose to be fun not just graphics its a complete experience some ppl think put a lot of Dynamic Lighting and Shadows of polygons in a game makes it great no matter how good it looks if it's boring and most computer games are i wont play it that's the problems I have with most of these so called pc master race games

If you like those types of games you should check out the Steam greenlight/indie collections.

WAY more indie games like Grindea (16bit zelda w/co-op and dynamic real time fighting), UnEpic (metroidvania), Anodyne (think 8-bit Zelda), and a whole lot of games that have never been created before. You don't need a powerful PC to play most of the games either.

I'm primarily a PC gamer and the only consoles that are in anyway interesting and not just stripped down PCs are by Nintendo. PC for cross-platforms, strategy games and to crank all the dials up to 11; Nintendo for Zelda, Mario, Pikmin and so on.

pc gamers actually don't play games at all. they talk on the message boards or end up fapping or something. they usually buy a bunch of games off steam and never play them or finish them. they usually start a game and then just keep adding mods to it everyday and play it to see how the mod works and looks then they say screw it im gonna go to pc forums and talk about the mod instead of playing the game. and talk about upgrading my rig so that I can buy and not play the new game that's coming out a max settings lol.

I play Japanese games, and fighting games, (BlazBlue being my main) which it doesn't have. It just lacks JPRG's and most Japanese games in general. DMC3 had a horrible port, DMC4 had a great but late port, NG was never there, MGRR MIGHT get there, but BlazBlue still only has Calamity Trigger on PC.

So it just lacks my kind of games on it, I don't like the smugness of the community, I know not everyone is like that, I have met some awesome guys on PC. I do have a gaming PC, but it's just not used for much of anything at all.

PC gaming honestly isn't as expensive as everyone makes it out to be.

You don't have to pay anything for online multiplayer.

Xbox 360 Live 4 years = $240 That could be an upgrade part for your PC in 4 years.

Most games sell cheaper than $60. Steam has so many sales, not to mention other websites as well. You'll save money there too.

The only expensive thing is the first purchase of the actual PC. After that you start saving money in every other category.

That money you save is what you use a few years down the line to buy upgrades if needed.

There are so many more PC exclusive games. I feel safe saying that PC has more exclusives than Xbox and PS put together. They may not be all big AAA large funded games, but there are a lot of games worth playing.

Continually amazed at just how stupid people are. Right now, PS3/Xbox 360 vs. PC is a joke in graphical fidelity. You have to be straight delusional from marketing to not admit that. I imagine half the people arguing that PC graphics aren't as good have never even seen a game running on a decent system.

Don't get me wrong. Consoles serve their own purpose. I have a PS3 and already have a PS4 pre ordered, but to deny just straight obvious things is absolutely absurd. Or arguing against things that you have no knowledge of (why is this so common anymore?) After playing on PC for a while it is damn hard for me to go back to PS3 at this point. The graphics are just so bad. Going from 1080p at 144hz to 720p 30hz sucks.

With next consoles, yes, graphics will be better. But now you're going to start having a lot of the problems PC gamers have. High end graphics are a lot more complex, leading to more software bugs/glitches and what not. You already have to update the PS3 on a fairly routine basis (so how can you argue about drivers? It's the same deal but you have to download it from a website, god forbid you lazy bastards have to do something for yourselves).

I really don't know why people complain about so many issues with PC games. I play tons of games and typically never have issues, unless it's me being nitpicky and wanting something just so (like wanting more anti aliasing). Multi GPU setups have tons of issues. But just running a single gpu setup you rarely ever have to update drivers or anything.

I don't know why people are so defensive about PC gaming. Whenever someone says anything about PC games being better people get all defensive with some of the worst logic I've ever heard (wonder why that is). Most people don't talk about PC gaming being better because they feel elite, it's probably just because they enjoy it so much and want to spread the word. Maybe you need to address your denial and maybe give it a shot?

You console guys (I used to be one) have your own little section somewhere else; its just not quite as magical, the clouds aren't as pink or as soft, among other things, I mean its close, just not quite the same. ;-)

The similar architecture (finally) will be a win win for console and PC gamers alike.

And for those saying that PC games "arent better" they simply have no idea of the unrestricted ways of the PC. A shame really. I dig pushing a button an playing a console but pc just offer so much more for those willing to invest a miniscule and tiny bit of time.
