VVV: "The all-important release date of Assetto Corsa is said to be coming soon, but as we continue to wait patiently Kunos Simulazioni continue to tease us with cruelly brief snippets of off-screen video footage showing the game in action.
This latest gameplay sample is taken from a replay showing a McLaren MP4-12C GT3 tearing round what is our first glimpse of Silverstone in Assetto Corsa - a topical location thanks to the GT Academy 2013 demo.
So we thought we'd do a little comparison. But rather than spark the traditional fanboy war between Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport, we thought we would conduct our comparison between GT and its promising PC equivilant. "
Racing simulator games are more realistic than ever. Here's a list of the best racing simulator games if you need a Holiday rush.
Assetto Corsa is a popular racing simulation game known for its realistic driving experience. It offers a wide range of meticulously detailed cars and
The Assetto Corsa series has sold over 28 million copies globally and made €104 million in revenue, with a sequel releasing in spring 2024.
Jesus really? Damn I didn't know Assetto Corsa was that popular. Now that I look at the sales numbers and the sheer about of mods for the PC version I guess I can see it now.
Really impressive numbers.
There´re more racing simulators fans out there than most racing games studios acknowledges.
Wish AC1 was at least one X enhanced but it's only sold a lot because of its price
Impressive replay video, but it's hard to judge based on that. I need to see the actual game play videos to make any conclusions.
The one at top is real life its not a video game so I'm going with GT6
It's just good to see more sim racers being made, now please Sony and PD make another Tourist Trophy for PS4, we need a better bike game than MotoGP and SBK.
Even in HD I can't really tell the difference. Assetto Corsa looks to have better environments, but thats to be expects. I expect we'll see more comparison videos in the future when the respective game release. I love the car physics comparisons they're really what matters in these games.
However, GT has been pretty beat down visually this generation. I'm glad GT6 looks like it's corrected many of GT5s visual issues so I'm excited. I'm ready to get immersed in some console driving action, and since I probably wont be able to get a PS4 this holiday I'll probably be copping that GT6.
Can we PLEASE have more console sims again? I would LOVE to see comebacks of SEGA GT, Enthusia, S Series, etc.
