THE LAST OF US All the Way .

gedapeleda3932d ago (Edited 3932d ago )

INFINITE all the way.
TLOU was a ladder simulation.
Edit: The author knew about n4g fanboyism so no wonder ladder simulator won.

BiggCMan3932d ago

Oh yea, of all the 3 or 4 times you actually pick up a ladder to get somewhere.

Mounce3932d ago

Sheesh, did ladders murder your father and rape your mother or something for you to hate ladders so much?

Dead Islands luggage-opening simulator is the worst.

Walker3932d ago

Still better than sky-dumb-line simulation !

2 great games, 2 great stories

BI has a great SF plot with twists and explored philosophical concepts

tLoU is best blending of Storytelling and gameplay yet, and the best character exploration yet, and experience that can rival the best movies and novels while staying true to it's base as a game, it presents a true progression story telling in the industry. for this it edges out Bioshock Infinite IMOO.

I agree. In my eyes, Bioshock doesn't even compare. It's a solid game, with no real issue at all, but it's no masterpiece like Last of Us. I put up a review on the front page a few weeks ago and gave it an 8 personally.

It's just that generic ass gameplay with firefight after firefight that hurt the game over all. And the finale with those damn dropships just ruined my feeling towards the game all together. It was the most generic final fight they could have chosen.

Now Last of Us, my goodness. The gameplay was OH so satisfying and perfectly done. The fact that they had this realistic weapon sway like you were actually not a professional with guns just shows that it's no casual friendly gameplay.

The story is leaps and bounds above Bioshock to me, because it actually made me tense up and become frightened at certain points, and nervous for certain characters. I didn't get this with Bioshock at all, and is not worth the worldwide praise it got in my opinion.

I agree although I do love both. TLoU is just.... WOW... Just Wow.... Yeah....... WOW!

"Choosing between The Last Of Us and Bioshock Infinite is like choosing between pizza and pizza"

More like choosing between a pizza and an icecream lol. Two completely different games. I enjoyed TLOU more, but I wouldn't compare it with Infinite. At least not with the specific points (gameplay, story, etc..), like you did.

PhoenixRoar3932d ago

I understand they're completely different and I've got to say it was quite hard comparing them, so i can see where youre coming from.

I just thought as they are both some of the highest rated games of all time and have been released quite recently, it could be quite fun. Hope you enjoyed the article!

ShugaCane3932d ago

Yes I did :)

And by the way, I disagree about the ending. I thought TLOU's was flawless and an actual reflection and interpretation of the whole game itself. The ending of Bioshock Infinite is excellent, but a bit unfocused and confusing. Personnal opinion, of course.

PhoenixRoar3932d ago

The ending was the hardest category i would say! I whole heartedly agree about TLOU's ending; it was pretty much perfect. I was expecting a happy ending but they decided to just go their own way and go against conventional 'and they all lived happily ever after'.

I just really loved how Bioshock came together in the end. All the loose ends sort of joined up and there was revelation after revelation. I also enjoyed how it opened up the universe for entirely new areas and places, as well as the return to Rapture.

But, as you said, personal opinion :)

He did a track guide for Neurnberg 24 in GTsport.

We have had no more content since then, maybe a few time trail modes, I believe there was one from Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstapen as well, due to the red bull partnership.

Back to Lewis, He STILL wears the Gran Turismo logo on his caps, every weekend Formula One races take place.

I was expcting more from this sponsorship, oh well. This video, is kinda rubbing salt into the wound, for me

That Driver tutorial still haunts my dreams. That parking lot saw me fail a thousand times

Starhawk over Warhawk?...... Dude, NO ONE should listen to you.

Odd choices for "best" more like you settled as these being the "best" that available to you at the time, cause a lot of these blow or were average to poor performers that ended up in bargain bin.

Missing too many great sci-fi titles here. The Void, The Resistance Series, Killzone 2 and 3, Enslaved, man.. there were so many, this is redicu-list.

FreeckyCake3d ago

Nobody should listen to you either with that attitude.

OtterX2d ago

I agree that Starhawk shouldn't be above Warhawk, however I must say that Starhawk multiplayer was incredible for its time! Many people wrote it off bc the single player was quite terrible, bc it was basically 1 huge tutorial for the multiplayer. But I can tell you never spent any significant amount of time in MP. It was doing incredibly tense base building w air, foot and land vehicle (and mech!) combat long before Fortnite was ever a thing.

I bet it would have been much better received if it had just ditched the story mode all together. So many people like yourself completely wrote it off based on reviews by reviewers that let the criticism of single player weigh heavily on their scores. I bet you didn't even play it.

The riddick games are some of the best stealth titles ever, highly underrated

YourMommySpoils3d ago

What games? All recall plating was Escape from Butcher Bay.

Friendlygamer3d ago (Edited 3d ago )

There's also the less acclaimed 'assault on dark Athena'

( also, not saying this to you specifically but there's both resistance and killzone games on the list, it's amazing how even something so simple and innocent as a game list can be turned into misinformed vitriol here lol )

jznrpg3d ago

Glad to see Resonance of Fate. Enslaved was pretty good too. I’m sure there are others nobody has listed but I’m too tired to try and think of anything
