This article title does a disservice to Saints Row.
There is absolutely no reason to compare the two.

I will buy Saints Row for what it is and I will buy GTA 5 for what it is and I will be damn happy!

If I was going to get one over the other, I'd go with GTAV and I'm not even a fan of GTA. However... I just saw this 10-20 minute video showing nearly everything it had to offer.

Mark these words, boys, GTAV is going to be one of the most complete games for your money this generation has had to offer.

no video has everything GTA 5 has to offer yet. Yes the amount content is Huge, and looks very interesting, but I bet there would be another video showing us new things that we haven't seen before.

SR2 was the best SR game but after that developers maybe ran out of ideas and just thought let's keep making it crazier and that will be enough

SR3 had no gangs
it had no story structure
didn't have as much to do as Sr2

so go ahead buy Sr4 but most if not all will buy GTA5 over SR4, don't get me wrong i want to buy SR4 but not for full $60, its a well known fact SR4 was suppose to be an expansion but because of THQ's money problems they wanted to release it asap as a game to make some money

its a good game if you can find it for $25-30 but not full price,

also some may buy both so its not that i am hating on SR series, its the fact Sr2 was so good and the room for improvement was there but instead the developers took the easy road out

after seeing GTA5 gameplay trailer its crystal clear which game to buy if you can only afford to buy one

Thats a very closed minded thing to say. I enjoyed SR2/SR3 much more than GTA4. Both franchises have different focuses. One combines crazy with realism and the other is just "balls to the walls anything goes". Who are you to say that people who choose the latter are "stupid"?

I enjoyed SR 2 more than GTA 4 as well. GTA 4 is only better with mods and that's even stretching it. IceEnhancer can only do so much, but hey, it was the reason I played through most of GTA 4, so it has to count for something. :P

SR2 was and to this day much better than GTA4, but you have to understand GTa4 came out in 2008 so things have changed, in a way SR is trying to live in the glory days of OLD GTA games on ps2

and when the article says 5 reason to buy SR4 over GTA5 there is no close minded approach

people don't realize that since GTA4, RS have made RDR and max payne 3 so now GTA 5 is the best of everything RS learned from making those games and from their approach with GTA4

Gta 4 imo is the worst gta game. I had tons of fun in Saints Row 2. It was such a great game. But saints row 3 got boring FAST. Almost call of duty fast.

Saints Row IV will be on PC day 1 so it wins by default. GTA4.5 won't come until later (if at all) and even then I'm sure it will be more boring storylines with tedious missions all focused on being realistic over being fun.

Play SR3. It DID have a real story. It just wasn't realistic...which is expected, since its a video game. Now if you PREFER games with a Hollywood level script and characters that you can invest in emotionally, THEN yes, GTAV will have the "better" story for you. BUT remember, thats a preference.

Not the best reasons...Saint's Row customization has been downgraded majorly when SR3 came out. Also Steelport has to be one of the worst cities ever in an open world game.
