A Ratchet & Clank / Jak & Daxter Crossover Will Be Announced Tomorrow

It all fits so perfectly.
A couple days ago, Sony tweeted out this peculiar image of a purple ring in space, with the caption “When worlds collide”. That’s it. Of course, the first thing that pops into most peoples heads is “crossover”. Gamers love crossovers, and Sony has a history of mixing and matching their favorite franchises.

I think this article is jumping the gun a bit here. I mean all we know is it has something to do with Insomniac games, nothing Jak and Daxter related has been even hinted at

my wish:
new ratchet and clank game( crack in time style) PS4!
pixar movie graphics - here we come!!!

Sony has a history of mixing and matching? Really? How often does that happen aside from recently with PlayStation AllStars?

If true, this could end up being a massive step in the wrong direction. Jak & Daxter deserve to come back in their own new game, not some messy crossover trash with Ratchet & Clank.

Jak & Daxter need to be the focus or don't bother bringing them back. They've earned their own followup.

the also did it with playstation move heroes
...
it sucked

I don't know how to feel about this. I love the Jak series but I have never been a fan of Ratchet and Clank.

if its developed by the same people who made the COD for vita and Playstation move heroes, im gonna run the other way. Their history aint great on games
However, i cant be made by Naughty Dog, they dont focus on older franchises (Crash bandicoot plz!!!)
And it cant be made by Insomniac, cause they are making sunset overdrive for xbox one (traitors!)
Also, why would they use an eclipse for that, when an eclipse is this year in november? I actually think it be kinda cool to release the PS4 then

Crash's and Spyro's rights were sold off. Insomniac and Naughty Dog no longer own the rights to the characters, just the original games they produced.

Insomniac is still technically third-party and can make games for whoever they choose, however I bet there is some sort of joint ownership of the Ratchet characters that prevents them from putting Ratchet and the gang on another console. Sony did this with Final Fantasy VII and its related characters (Square doesn't have 100% ownership of FFVII since Sony footed a chunk of the development bill).

A Ratchet and Jak crossover wouldn't be out of the ordinary as they have already been crossed over in Heroes and also All-Stars. Naughty Dog and Insomniac have also had relationships with each other in the past from employee relations (leaving one to work for the other) to sharing programing/modelling tricks. SuckerPunch (Sly and Infamous) also has a realtionship to the two as well.

Gladiator’s Arena review - Games Asylum

Games Asylum: "Even though the Vampire Survivors influenced ‘auto shooter’ genre isn’t long in the tooth, I’m still surprised that it has taken this long for a Roman gladiator-themed rendition to come along – especially with a sequel to Ridley Scott’s 2000 box office hit Gladiator imminent. It’s thematically perfect, with its circular arena in which one man stands alone against hordes of enemies, grabbing loot as they survive one wave to the next."
