I thought it was four console games... but it's actually MOBILE games. Lame.

Microsoft to reveal three "cool" Lift London games "very soon"

OXM UK - "Remember the four new games in development at Microsoft's new Lift London studio, the ones that will apparently "redefine what triple-A represents"? You can expect to lay eyes on three of them in the not too distant future.

That's according to studio head Lee Schuneman, who spoke to OXM as part of the London Calling feature in our Christmas 2013 issue. "We've got a high bar for innovation," he said, during an interview recorded in November. "We have three cool titles in development that we'll reveal very soon."

calling it now, casual Kinect games

Convas3795d ago (Edited 3795d ago )

A lot of people "called" that MS' E3 2013 would be a load of casual Kinect games too. We saw how that turned out.

I'll wait for the announcements.

mikeslemonade3795d ago

It's kinect games. They would be even dumber to not make much Kinect games if they packed a camera in with the system. At least be consistent.

Damned if they do damned if they don't lol

AngelicIceDiamond3795d ago

@Convas Exactly.

Can't wait to see the unveil.

adorie3795d ago

We might be able to give better guesses as to how the games could end up being like, if we dig deeper and spy the talent working at this studio and cross reference to see if they've worked at any other notable studio or on a particular game of interest.

you mean like You called all kinect for E3? you sony fans need to quit the all Microsoft has is kinect games crap. they are hardly plugging kinect as a gaming device this gen, but you fan boys want to holler every title they release is kinect. Well I'm calling it now every game Sony announces at VGX is Indie. See how that works?

Skips3795d ago (Edited 3795d ago )

"you mean like You called all kinect for E3?"

One good E3 vs. four garbage E3's for the past 4 years. I think he's still in the clear for assumption. lol

"Well I'm calling it now every game Sony announces at VGX is Indie. See how that works?"

Games coming from Sony's multiple AAA FIRST PARTY studios like Naughty Dog and SSM are ALL indie (INDEPENDENT)??? No, I don't see how that works. -_-

AngelicIceDiamond3795d ago

@Skips no it was 3 bad E3's 2010, 2011 and 2012. E3 2009 was fine.

i wouldn't be too excited if i were you.

Prime1573795d ago

No, it's that they keep shoving the kinect down our throats.

If this batch doesn't prove viable with kinect, how long before we finally go, "ok, kinect isn't what we thought it would be."

If this has nothing to do with kinect, then good!

MS does need more Kinect games. That is how they will sell to the casuals and people who have a genuine interest in the Kinect tech.

nukeitall3795d ago

I'm interrested to see whatever comes for the new Kinect. I want to see what more it is capable of.

So far Xbox Fitness is fantastic and I hope MS expand on that greatly. Would be willing to pay a small monthly fee for it if content increases.

Max-Zorin3795d ago

* I hope it's Kinect material so I can rub it in their face.
Fixed

Lykon3795d ago

"We've got a high bar for innovation," = Kinect games. Although ..to be fair...If this new kinect works like they say it does then fair dinkum

LogicStomper3795d ago

What's wrong with casual Kinect games?

nukeitall3795d ago

That depends on who you ask.

I love them, and so do many others. That is why franchises like Dance Central and Kinect Sports sell more than many core AAA games!

christocolus3795d ago

I love some kinect games..got kinect sports dqnce central 1 2 and 3...loved playing them with friends too. Both franchises combined sold about 10mil copies....it would be crazy if ms didnt invest more in kinect...dont care if its casual or hardcore , aa or not..just so far its good..i for one cant wait.

HolyDuck3795d ago

@CEOSteveBalmer,

Loco cycle, Crimson Dragon, Powerstar golf, games of which have OPTIONAL kinect support, i guess battlefield 4 is a kinect game too because I can tilt my head in it.

Golden_Mud3795d ago

It's actually 4 cloud based games

Dodododuo3795d ago

And what exactly is wrong with that? The new kinect is not only vastly improved over it's last generation iteration but it now comes packaged with the console itself, why wouldn't they attempt to show off their new hardware this early in the game? I personally just hope whatever they do helps triple a publishers integrate some of kinect's coller features into their games, but again this is all personal conjecture

Neoninja3795d ago

Can't wait to see what they have. I do hope they're being truthful on the innovation part. It's not always bad to try something different.

first1NFANTRY3795d ago

Hope it's not riddled with microtransactions. That seems to be the trend with all X1 games.

Volkama3795d ago

This is a much bigger concern than Kinect games imo. They can carry on pushing Kinect all they like, but they need to drop these micro-transactions ASAP.

SockeyBoy3795d ago

I actually hope a Ryse 2 is on the...rise. I did enjoy the game, I don't think it was worth the money I spent on it, but it surprised me after all the crappy feedback it got.

Lucreto3795d ago

Ryse was okay but they should have done a little more work on getting the history right. They made a few huge mistakes.

Volkama3795d ago (Edited 3795d ago )

I thoroughly enjoyed Ryse campaign. I would absolutely purchase Ryse 2 the day it came out, or any additional single player content for Ryse.

I think the asking price would have been fair (in so far as typically ridiculous game pricing can be) if the multiplayer game had been designed for fun rather than micro-transactions.

4Sh0w3794d ago

I agree with you, however like I keep saying I have had a blast with every game, still so much more to do and I haven't needed or felt like making one extra purchase for any game beyond the $60 purchase price. I hope everyone avoids micro transactions as they are just unecessary.
