Xbox One ''Day One Edition'' Now Sold Out On Amazon

Following today's news that the Xbox One was no longer available for pre-order on Best Buy's website, online retail giant Amazon also removed the option to purchase the Day One Edition on their website. You can still purchase the standard Xbox One console, but there is no indication that it will arrive at launch.

The thing with the "sold out" is that it means nothing, they could have been 20 pre orders or 1000 pre orders.
Checking the totals, PS4 is still #3 and Xbox One is #6, also the PS4 has other bundles in the top 100, unlike the Xbox One

Lets not forget that the WiiU also sold out before launch. This is all marketing. You won't really know until the console is actually released. I have a feeling that Xbox One won't sell as well as pre-orders suggests.

Interesting. It means that there were more PS4 preorder consoles allotted to amazon than Day One Xbox Ones.

Makes sense with the #3 to #6 ratio of best sellers of 2013 remaining the same after both sold out.

Some one help me . When you preorder one and it says Jan 4th possible receive date is it a place holder or is that an actual date ill get it . idc about the day one edition to much ,but the standard editions says January 4th , man I don't want to wait to long for it .

if it is sold out and there are only 500 thousand units big deal if it is sold out and there are 3 million units than that is something.

With all the precautions you could take how are you gonna feel if the kinect breaks and no matter how many controllers remotes tablets smartphones you have your box has become unplayable because the console is now dependant on a accesory plopping 100 bucks plus each time wouldn't be fun also ms hasn't specified if the kinect will be initially available in stores I've been having the worry if atleast initially ms only allows for the kinect to be sent in for repairs imagine waiting a month to play becuz of the kinect btw not bashing your choices just been wondering if people care about that situation emerging

Why are people so stupid? It doesn't matter if one is sold out and the other one isn't, it matters on allocation of units.

For example because of the x1 180, and over hearing problems they probably have a much smaller allocation of units compared to how Sony is already sending out finished dev kits so they most likely have a lot more.

people please your heads, if these companies gave limitless consoles to the retailers, it just would not sell, they give a certain amount, which is called the first wave, after the first wave the companies get a response from the media and consumer public, they then either ship more to retailers or hold back which is called supply and demand. micro could have just ten preorders for each retailer, they are building demand for the product,

Not just amazon but eb too. I'm in vancouver, bc and monday I went to my local eb in richmond centre and asked to put down another deposit on another x1. The employee laughed at me and said I should had reserved it weeks ago. I asked him if he could call another to see if they could reserve one for me and he told me it was sold out company wide. I heard best buy is out too but didn't personally go there to see.
