Did Sony just tease ‘Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus’ for PS3/PS4?

Remember that teaser image that was released yesterday? The one we thought was Ultraviolet? Yeah, we’ll we were wrong… it happens, shocker.

Sony released the rest of the graphic today which seems to be pointing toward a new “Ratchet and Clank” game for PlayStation 4. Why is that? Well the graphic was linked to the Insomniac Games twitter account which are the developers for that franchise and now states at the bottom “Heroes Return” which if this is a new Ratchet and Clank game, could be very exciting.

That being said, it could be a completely new IP or maybe a new Spyro game? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Just as an FYI - NeoGaf made a good point about this one. Wouldn't read into it too much - this was the name of a canceled R&C game from a few years ago. It's probably a code name for a project involving them.

But... it does like it's available on PS3. So could we be seeing a multi-gen release?

Looks like it's something called 'Into The Nexus' for PS3, made by Insomniac's b-team to try and wrangle some quick and easy money out of their PlayStation fans while the main team works on Sunset Overdrive for Xbox One.

Thanks Insomniac, but no thanks. After the last few terrible Ratchet & Clank games, I won't be wasting any more money on the junk these guys put out. A Crack in Time was a great game, but since then it's just one rushed crapfest after another, and I'm not handing over money just to keep them afloat while they make an Xbox One exclusive. Either put out a proper, good R&C game or say bye-bye to any money you'd get from me.

I honestly wish Sony would just give the IP to one of their internal devs. They've got tons of talent so why not. Insomniac should sink or float on their own merits rather than relying on the R&C money.

I'm going to be pretty upset if it's the B-Team again. Insomniac has been getting really stale this generation, I felt that Resistance 3 and A Crack in Time showed that they might be back, but they threw it all away with Fuse and handing R&C off to this half-assed second team.

I really do hope Sony finds a new developer for the franchise, a group of people that are fans of the game and really want to make a new game the same way Sanzaru took over the Sly Cooper series.

Hopefully they will take it right back to its roots. Like the second and first games.

i had a great time with tools of destruction than quest for booty was just as much fun, crack in time for me personally was a very good game but tools of destruction was more fun for me

looking at the photo (close-up)enlarging it/ it is the "space portal machine" from TOD. remember guys, when Ratchet needed to travel from one asteroid to another it "DIGITIZED" him then transported him. this might be the same way "in to the NEXUS"

Agreed. The Jak series can be just as fun and comical as Ratchet & Clank, but it can also be MUCH darker. A Crack in Time started getting a bit more "real" in the emotional sense, but Ratchet & Clank is such a light series. So, here is my proposal:

Release Jak 4. We want Jak 4.

Then, release a Ratchet & Clank game that plays out sort of like Kingdom Hearts. It involves Ratchet & Clank travelling through other PlayStation game worlds and helping those characters. I would absolutely LOVE something like that!

Say what you guys want about insomniacs mistakes over the last year or so, but ratchet and clank is such a wonderful series for the playstation brand to have. if in fact thats actually what was being teased, id be super excited about picking up yet another ratchet and clank game for my new ps4. definitely a magical series in its early years. i only hope that its more of the conventional format R&C games, and not a strange 4 player coop game, or a mission based game with hardly any story like deadlocked.

Something like kor managed to get a cell of his body through he gate in jak II and goes back in time and teams up with gol and maia to kill jak. since things start changing jak goes back in time to fix things. this could fill some holes to how he is mar who helped build haven.
