I've never been a massive fan of GTA. I could see the appeal in them for people, but the overall quality just wasn't there to me.

GTA5 seems to have addressed all my complaints, and smashed everything I was unsure of about this game. Better driving mechanics, better shooting mechanics (Max Payne-like), more things to do, explorations, better graphics, and much more.

I had GTA pre-order just for a placeholder for my $20 Best Buy holiday Reward Zone games list, but this trailer has finally got me excited about GTA5. This is the perfect example of what should happen when you take your time making a game, rather than releasing a "NEW" version every year. You get amazing quality product.

I pray for single player co-op as it's the final feature that would seal the deal for me, but regardless I'm getting my first Day 1 GTA.

That being said there's some tomfoolery going on in that trailer. There are some noticeable quality drops in some of the scenes such as car models being flawless, then at points there's poor AA on them. Hopefully that means a PC version or next-gen version is possibly in the works. Regardless this is another great game added to the library of the PS3 for 2013, and seems like a swan song for the Xbox 360.

Rockstar fixed all the complaints anyone has ever had with GTA it looks like. Probably the only things not fulfilled are being able to enter nearly every building and possibly a variety of cheat codes.

I'm gonna be hated to comment this... but I can see some things in this game that ressembles Saints Row, like the wheel to choose weapons from, the clothing and the tuning.. in GTA IV they left those things out..

This trailer really was fantastic, everything shows that R* is taking it to the next level, no idea why they decided to release this on current gen, unless their next-gen engine isn't ready yet. I will say that this will be day one for me regardless, last game of the GEN!

Also, just had a brilliant idea, let us use smartglass for MP to plan out heists using the map, this would be an incredible feature if this game does have co-op or online heists the amount of work that could go into planning would be amazing.

The trailer was awesome until the characters dissonantly started coldly killing enemies. All the other stuff looked amazing. Just a giant sandbox with so many things to do in it. Violence isn't necessary at all.

I would have said the same thing about Watch Dogs since it's a new IP and has this hacking gameplay besides all the traditionnal GTA-like mechanics (the most disappointing moment during the first E3 2012 presentation for me was when they started shooting each other).

But for Grand Theft Auto, violence and gangs are just part of the franchise. GTA is not just a random sandbox game, it has always been a game where you played as a criminal.

Was never a huge GTA fan. Undoubtedly a great quality series of games (I'm one of those rare people called "gamers" who appreciates great games regardless of what they are or what platform they're on), but it just never really appealed to me before because I'm not a huge fan of open world games in general.

But I am VERY impressed by what I'm seeing in this trailer. Enough to buy? Maybe. Like I said, open world games aren't usually my cup of tea (took a chance with GTA4 and wasn't all that impressed). Plus, like others have said, there might be a next-gen version eventually. I'm definitely picking up my PS4 within a year, so might as well wait.

I am intrigued though. It's not like my taste in games hasn't evolved before.

Absolutely incredible looking game. Never had any concerns before hand with it being Rockstar but this just confirms that they are truly the best at what they do. I have the week booked off work for when this comes out it's going to be epic!

looks cool. i just hope the little things i enjoyed about the original come back. Like when you do the find the hidden packages you actually get rewards again(super weapons), unlike part 4 i think you got diddly and squat that isnt worth while hunting 200 packages. Plus rampages, taxi, firetruck, medic, and cop missions i hope are in it.

I wanted to wait until this came out on the PS4, but i'm sure it'll just be ported over after they milk enough money out of PS3 & 360 sales. I wish they built the game for next gen consoles, but PS4 version should still look a bit better than this gen's version.

I'll be playing this on my ps3, but it's already been confirmed that it will come on 2 discs on 360, one will be installed, and then the other disc will only be needed.

My main... Well, only worry was that the game would look as grainy and messy as GTA4. Holy crap, if it looks anywhere near the way it looks on that video it's the cleanest, crispest looking game I've ever seen. The detail on characters etc is clearly current gen but the cleanness of the visuals and the detail available over a long distance is ridiculous. That one part where Franklin is walking down the street and you can see the skyscraper in the background is insane. It may not have the kind of textures that stand up to microscopic scrutiny like The last of us but I've never seen visuals that pop and stay so clear over such distances.

GTAV does not even look like a movie, this game looks like an epic HBO mini series based on 3 men plotting and scheming for money in LA. Def must have game of this generation.
