I would agree that the polls don't matter much, but the sources...they're so varied that each poll is starting to shake hands with the others, and I think we really might be seeing an accurate layout. I'm not saying it's 80/20, but it's certainly not 50/50, and that's a problem for two consoles launching within mere weeks of each other. I really think Microsoft is going to have to market to the casual masses and hope they'll shell out the dough. If Microsoft had made Halo 5 (or whatever it is) a launch title, they might not have to worry about their launch. But they didn't. And I think it'll give them a rocky start. I can get a PS4 and two games for what just the One will cost me. Or a PS4, extra controller and a game. Or the PS4, PSEYE and a game.

The value is just better.

you do know the ps4 will have way more consoles available like 3 and 4 times as much as xbox one. not only this the ps4 will release first. on top of that the ps4 is cheaper and has free games you can play day one right out of the box. everyones first next gen console should be a ps4 if they like online multiplayer or an alive user base gaming community.

Assuming the gaming market does not increase AT ALL, 20% of the current market is still about 60 million units sold.

The Xbox 360 currently holds about 29% of the market. Not that much of a decrease, as you can see.

Yeah this is totally expected. Aside from the few holdouts, and the hardcore MS supporters here at N4G, all gamers look at both products and see the better machine is PS4.

XO could be priced at $349.99 and still get crushed by PS4.
