Why do we play video games? And are they are good influence in our lives? It’s probably a question which has been asked many times before, but it is one I have often thought about myself. Everyone has their own reasons why they enjoy playing video games, hence the wide variety of different genres and types of games on offer. But there a few things every gamer has in common when it comes to this question. I believe they play a major role in our lives and more often than not, they have a positive effect on us as human beings.

Shaz from GL: "Acting is a difficult craft to master, and what many don't consider is just how hard it can be to perform across different mediums of entertainment."

Edit: Also, LOL at the lasy in the background of the picture above who's jealous of the guy playing his game. Guys, find a girl who can enjoy gaming too, or else forget it. You can't have someone getting jealous of your hobbies. Trust me, if it wasn't games, she'd be jealous of your friends, your goals, your TV watching time, your fascination wit sports, family members your close to, etc. Find someone who like what you like to. Don't blame the hobby, blame the insecure hater who can't find their own interests (instead of hating on the hobbies that YOU happen to like).
It's a stress reliever to me.

Apparently they make us feel accomolished and self actualized and such which makes sense with how passionate some people are about leaderboards and gamerscores... I just play for fun though personally
