The Walking Dead: 400 Days DLC Review - Short stories just aren't my thing | MMGN

Although I was glad for the new content, I didn't really find the Instead of serving up the sequel that we all so eagerly await, Telltale Games has released The Walking Dead: 400 Days DLC to whet our appetites for the main event. The DLC features five different survivors, playing through from day one of the zombie apocalypse to day 400. Each survivor's story lasts around 15-30 minutes as they each encounter tough decisions as a result of the zombie apocalypse. [MMGN]

agreed, tbh, I wasn't too fond of it. After the end of a certain story, I was like, what hapens next??!?!!?!?!!?

and the same with Sheils

WHAT NEXT?!?!??!?!!

wasnt that kind of the point...to setup a new story; bridging the gap between season 1 and 2

I know but it left me hanging

That's the point, it's like the TV show were they have you excited for the next season when they show someone new or something catastrophic happens then it cuts off. They did a really good job with this one though it's true that they should of added more. I know there are parts they black out, but I'm sure once they start releasing the second season, they'll fill more gaps on character story. I won't spoil anything, but definitely should be picked up for any fan of the first one no matter if the stories were short. Plus anything that happens here will effect season 2. I think people who get season 2 without this have fixed stories like how Mass Effect was. Maybe the best or worst outcomes from 400 Days? I don't know but this will help you set up the story.

I'm finally finishing the original chapters and I'm not as into as I was when I first started. But I know why... The last of us. TLOU was so intense it has ruined a lot of other story oriented games for .

I don't watch TV much less pay for cable therefore I've never seen the show so I'm looking at it through gamer's eyes, personally speaking , for what it is ie an interactive comic book the Walking Dead game isn't that great. I got it for free on XBLA so I played it and nothing about the game inspires me to pick up the new chapter.

The only new character I knew I would bond well with as time went by was "Bonnie". Her story seems quite interesting to me, and I'd like to how she ended up with the group..

The rest of them just seemed like they were there to full in their respected stereo type positions.

But all and all I think TTG kinda screwed up this time.. People dont want new characters... They want to see what happened to Chlem! IMO thats why the game got so many awards as it did last season, it made us care about that little girl.. Here we only have adults who can hold their own.. So from my perspective there is no real sense of urgency this time around...

Well put. I think this DLC was experimental at best and perhaps if we didn't need to buy it for 5 bucks I would have been happier with it.

All of those for only $12!? That is an insane deal. Reminds me of why I am going to build a gaming PC over the summer. I have nearly all of those games on PSN and they are great. Going to finally start Game of Thrones in a hour or two.
