PSP and DS still hanging around. :-)

Wow, ps3 sold almost two times more than 360. Talk about dedication to quality content.

bootsielon3948d ago

Two times? Not even 50%, do the math. Still impressive that it outsold the Wii by more than 4 times and it's only half of the year so far.

MysticStrummer3948d ago

Half of 4.1 million would only be 2.05 million, not 2.8 million. It's still quite a bit more though.

WalterWJR3948d ago

7 billion people live on planet Earth and only a fraction play video games. What is life without fun & games?

MysticStrummer3948d ago

Everyone's idea of fun isn't the same, and people in some places have their hands full just trying to survive.

Just be glad enough people enjoy gaming for it to be considered a valid business, otherwise you wouldn't get to do it either.

Damn...

Well let's not forget that a large portion of the earth population are poor and can't afford luxury products like gaming devices.

70+ ps3
70+ Xbox 360
100+ Wii
80+ PSP
150+ DS

I would say the past generation was pretty damn successful.

You know the ussual poverty stricken activities

RandomDude6553948d ago

PSP has some dang legs on it. WiiU /dead

dark-hollow3948d ago

The 3ds is increasingly becoming one of my favourite gaming device this gen.

browngamer413948d ago

3DS is dominate as usual,it seems to really be firing on all cylinders right now with hardware and software selling briskly...

dark-hollow3948d ago

Proves that with solid library of games + a good cheap price is a fool proof formula for success.

We shouldn't write off the vita and the Wii u yet. The 3ds went with the same lacklustre period.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron - Coming Back for a New Generation

Originally launched in 2011, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to Nintendo Switch, so It's time to look back at the original.

Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.

darthv7213h ago

Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.

Fallout 3's Reveal Led To Death Threats And Bethesda's First Security Guard

The artist behind Fallout 4’s Deathclaw reveals just how bad things got back when Bethesda took over the series

anast15h ago

People are stupid I get it. No one should feel unsafe,

But I think they need to talk about why they cut so many corners during the development process and why none of their games ever look current. And why they think all of this is okay while they charge full price.

LucasRuinedChildhood14h ago

As much as Bethesda deserve criticism, that's not really relevant to the reveal of Fallout 3 in 2007.

VenomUK11h ago

The default angle Kotaku always go for is to highlight the worst in gaming.

I would’ve focused on the creative.

there is no "but". the hell lol
you dont send death threats, period.
